What “not complete destruction” means
The distinction is about scale and purpose. Destruction is intended to alter the environment in interesting ways, but the reported goal is not to erase every structure or turn whole areas into empty ground. The report says the game takes inspiration from Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s destruction while separating that influence from total map destruction.

That does not establish exactly which objects can be damaged, how much damage any building can take, or what destruction rules apply to a particular map or mode. The report’s suggestion that some houses might allow only limited damage is the writer’s speculation, not a confirmed developer detail.
Does the report prove what happens in every match?
No. The August 2025 article records a reported design intention from multiplayer-event coverage. It does not verify the behavior of every map or mode in the live game, or establish whether later updates changed anything. It also gives no technical specifications or complete list of destructible assets.
