When did Battlefield REDSEC release?
EA announced REDSEC was live on October 28, 2025, alongside Battlefield 6 Season 1. The launch-time notice had been reported the previous day, which helps explain the “shadow drop” description: the launch arrived with short notice, but REDSEC is already available as a released game, not an unreleased surprise.

Do you need Battlefield 6 to play REDSEC?
No. EA said REDSEC is free to play and can be accessed without buying Battlefield 6.
