The offer has expired; Epic currently lists the game as a paid digital title. Check Epic’s Free Games page for promotions available now.
What was the Epic Games Store offer?
GameThroughs reported that Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery was free to claim until January 30, 2025, at 16:00 UTC. That was a limited-time promotion, not a permanent change to the game’s price. Epic’s current product listing shows it as a paid digital title; its price and any sale status can vary over time and by region.
The historical offer window comes from GameThroughs’ contemporaneous coverage rather than an archived Epic promotion page. It should therefore be understood as that report’s account of the giveaway.
What kind of game is Behind the Frame?
Epic describes it as a single-player puzzle adventure about helping an aspiring artist finish a painting for a gallery submission. Players paint, sketch, retouch, and solve puzzles as the story unfolds through her work. The official listing characterizes the narrative as an emotional tale revealed through seemingly unrelated but familiar moments. The Akupara Games publisher page likewise presents it as a puzzle experience centered on completing an artist’s masterpiece.

Can you still get it free, and where can you check current giveaways?
The January 2025 claim period is over. To see what Epic is offering now, use its official Free Games page. A past giveaway does not mean the game remains free or that a new promotion is active.
Which platforms can you play it on?
Epic’s listing shows Windows and macOS versions. Akupara lists releases on several other storefronts and platforms, including Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, iOS, Android, and GOG. A claim on Epic applies to the Epic version; it does not establish ownership of copies on other storefronts.
