For AION 2 at 1080p, begin with the graphics preset listed for your PC’s hardware tier: Very Low at minimum-spec and Low at recommended-spec on the global Steam listing. If performance is still poor, lower demanding visual options in small groups and compare in the same kind of activity. These are compatibility starting points—not guaranteed frame rates or a verified custom preset.
Start with the preset for your PC
AION 2 is a PC-only Unreal Engine 5 game. Steam’s global listing gives the following minimum and recommended specifications, and names a Full HD compatibility preset for each tier:

Both tiers list Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12, broadband internet and 100 GB available storage; Steam recommends an SSD. These are system requirements and compatibility guidance, not a measured FPS target or a promise that a particular PC will run smoothly. See the global Steam listing and requirements.
There is a regional difference worth noting: NC’s Korean-language download page lists the minimum Full HD preset as Very Low, but its recommended preset as Normal. That page also lists Radeon RX 470 4 GB at minimum and Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB at recommended, alongside GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB and RTX 2070 8 GB respectively. Use the preset guidance for the version and region you play; don’t combine the Korean recommendation with Steam’s global listing as if they were identical. Settings to try on a PC near minimum requirements
Playnews offers a more granular starting profile for PCs close to the minimum specifications. It is a third-party recommendation, not an official NC preset or the result of a controlled benchmark. In the table, “Low” and “Very Low” are the guide’s suggested values; options not described as quality levels are reproduced as its recommendations.

The same guide recommends showing other players’ particle effects for Everyone, volumetric fog On, ambient occlusion NCAO, water reflection method Performance, tier icon On and identical player appearance Off. A practical tuning order
- Choose the official Full HD preset matching your hardware tier and region: on global Steam, Very Low for minimum-tier hardware and Low for recommended-tier hardware.
- If performance remains poor, lower shadows, vegetation, clouds, effects and mass-battle quality. These are suggested adjustments, not settings with a published, quantified FPS gain.
- If needed, try Performance or Balanced resolution scaling. Keep textures at Normal initially, and leave the upscaler disabled at first; the third-party guide suggests trying it later if additional performance is needed.
- Change one setting or a small related group at a time. Compare in the same area or activity, paying attention to frame pacing and whether the scene remains readable—not just its visual detail.
No numeric benchmark in the cited pages establishes how many FPS any of these changes will add, or which single setting delivers the largest gain. An SSD is recommended for installation, but neither official listing says it will improve frame rate or fix stuttering.
