For the English Solo Leveling comic, the main legitimate digital options are licensed episode reading on Tappytoon or Tapas, or collected ebook volumes from retailers listed by publisher Yen Press. Choose Tappytoon to sample its free opening episodes, Tapas for its completed-series listing and timed Wait until Free access, or Yen Press volumes if you prefer reading a book rather than unlocking episodes. Yen Press also sells an English prose novel, which is a different format from the comic.
Official episode reading: Tappytoon or Tapas
Both platforms list the English comic, but their access models differ. Episode availability, unlock rules, and regional catalogs can change, so check the live series page before committing to a reading plan.
Tappytoon: start with the free opening episodes
Tappytoon’s official series page identifies the comic as an official English translation produced by Tappytoon and published under license from partners. Episodes 0–3 are displayed as free, making the page a straightforward place to try the adaptation. The page labels the series “Every Mon” and says the epilogue is available; those labels alone do not establish current unlock terms or a dependable release schedule.
Tappytoon also displays “MILLION READS · 35M VIEWS.” These are counters shown on the page and observed October 5, 2026, not dated readership statistics.

Tapas: timed free access, with a recent-episode exclusion
Tapas’s series information page marks Solo Leveling complete and lists a one-day Wait until Free period, excluding the latest 16 episodes. It also links to a free first episode. In practice, that means the page does not promise that every episode is immediately free: the newest 16 are excluded from the stated timed-unlock terms.
Tapas credits the main episodes to DUBU (REDICE STUDIO), Chugong, and h-goon; its special episodes are credited to DISCIPLES (REDICE STUDIO), Chugong, and h-goon. The page says Tapas Media published the series in 2021. Its separate series page displays 29.4 million views, observed October 5, 2026; that changing counter is not accompanied by a publication year. See the Tapas series page.
Collected ebook volumes from Yen Press
If you would rather read the comic as a collected book than unlock individual episodes, Yen Press lists digital editions of Solo Leveling. Its catalog reaches volume 15, including two side-story volumes. The catalog credits Chugong as author, DISCIPLES (REDICE STUDIO) as artist, h-goon as adapter, and Hye Young Im and J. Torres as translators. Browse the Yen Press series catalog.
On its volume 1 page, Yen Press listed the digital edition at $9.99 US / $11.99 Canada and the paperback at $20 US / $26 Canada when checked October 5, 2026. These are publisher-page prices for that volume on that date, not guaranteed current retailer prices or worldwide pricing. The page lists digital retailers including Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, BookWalker, comiXology, Google Play, Kobo, MangaPlaza, MANGA MIRAI, and emaqi. It gives volume 1 an Older Teen rating, a 320-page count, and a March 2, 2021 release date. Check Yen Press’s volume 1 page for the current listing and retailer links.
The novel is a prose alternative, not another comic edition
Yen Press also lists an English Solo Leveling novel. Its first volume is offered in digital and paperback editions, carries an Older Teen rating, and lists ebook retailers including Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, BookWalker, comiXology, Google Play, and Kobo. Choose it if you want prose rather than the illustrated manhwa; it is not the comic in ebook form. See Yen Press’s novel volume 1 page.
