For a balanced starting point in ARC Raiders, use your monitor’s native resolution if performance is stable; otherwise choose the in-game upscaler’s Quality mode. Set FOV to 80, turn motion blur off, keep View Distance high, and lower Shadows, Post-Processing, and Effects. Then use the Detailed Performance Overlay in a representative match to find out whether the CPU or GPU is limiting performance before changing more settings.
Recommended ARC Raiders settings for a balanced starting point
These settings prioritize readable detail and steadier performance rather than maximum visual quality. Menu labels and supported options can vary with game updates and hardware, so use the closest available choices in your current build.
| Setting | Starting point | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Display resolution | Native monitor resolution, if stable | Preserves clarity; use upscaling if native rendering does not meet your performance goal. |
| Display mode | Exclusive Fullscreen or Borderless | Choose the mode that works best with your setup and preference. |
| FOV | 80 | The cited guide recommends the top of the documented 60–80 slider range for a wider view. |
| Motion Blur | Off | Reduces motion blur that can make movement and detail harder to read. |
| View Distance | High | Helps preserve distant detail and visibility. |
| Shadows | Low | A practical place to reduce rendering load. |
| Post-Processing | Low | Reduces secondary visual effects. |
| Effects | Low | Can reduce rendering load during visually busy scenes. |
| Foliage | Low or Medium | Balance performance and environmental detail for your system. |
| Textures | As high as available VRAM allows | Texture quality is best preserved when the graphics card has enough video memory. |
| VSync | Off if prioritizing latency | Whether to enable it depends on your preference and display behavior. |
| Frame cap | A rate your system can hold consistently | A stable cap is more useful than a target the system repeatedly misses. |
| NVIDIA Reflex | On, if supported | The settings guide suggests it for supported NVIDIA hardware. |
The FOV value is a guide recommendation, not a universal rule: a wider view may suit some players, while others may prefer a narrower setting.
How to choose resolution and upscaling
Start at native resolution when it delivers stable performance. If it does not, select an upscaler available for your hardware—DLSS, FSR, or XeSS—and begin with Quality. If that still misses your goal, try Balanced and judge the change in a comparable scene. More aggressive scaling can reduce image clarity, including distant detail.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Upscaling is most relevant when the GPU is the limiting component. If the overlay instead points to a CPU Game limit, lowering resolution or shadows is not generally the fix; diagnose that limit before making broad graphics changes.
Find the bottleneck before tuning further
- Open a representative match rather than judging performance only from a menu.
- Go to Graphics → Advanced → In-Game Performance Overlay and select Detailed.
- Check whether the overlay indicates a CPU Game, CPU Render, or GPU limit.
- For a GPU limit, reduce rendering load or adjust upscaling. If available, the guide recommends Static RTX Global Illumination; reducing reflections or global-illumination resolution may also help. These options may change between builds.
- Change one or two settings, then compare in similar gameplay conditions. Keep the changes that improve your target without making visibility unacceptably worse.
A CPU Game limit is not generally solved by lowering resolution or shadows. Use the overlay’s indication to guide the next change instead of lowering every quality setting at once.

Frame generation, latency, and stable performance
Consider frame generation only after regular, underlying frame rates are stable. Generated frames can make motion appear smoother, but they do not replace stable base performance and may involve a latency tradeoff. The available modes depend on the current game build and your hardware.

These tiers can help you compare your system with Embark’s stated targets, but they do not show how a particular PC will perform in every match. A graphics-card upgrade makes sense only if your current hardware, desired resolution and settings, and diagnosed GPU limit justify it; confirm power, case, and system compatibility before buying.
