There is no single verified “best” EQ curve for every Astro A50. The right starting point depends on your A50 generation, the game and platform, and which spatial-audio processing is active. First identify your headset model and use the matching software; then adjust one audio layer at a time.
First identify your A50 generation and software
Astro A50 generations do not all use the same configuration software or controls. Logitech’s Astro Series software and download page lists Astro Command Center for A50 Gen 3 and Gen 4, and G HUB and the Logitech G App for A50 Gen 5 and A50 X. Check the page for your region and current compatibility before changing settings.

Do not apply a setting screen or control path from one generation to another without checking compatibility. The Gen 4 guide is specific to that headset, while the newer A50 X and Gen 5 software paths are different.
Best Astro A50 EQ settings for gaming: choose a goal, not a magic curve
EQ changes the relative level of parts of the sound spectrum; it does not itself select a spatial-audio mode. The official materials cited here describe how to access EQ or presets, but they do not prescribe a universally winning gaming curve. A setting that makes one sound more prominent may also change voices, music, or other effects, and preference and the game mix matter.

For general play
Begin with the headset or app’s neutral/default sound, or an unmodified preset if there is no explicit neutral option. This gives you a reference point without assuming a third-party curve is right for your ears, game, or A50 generation.
For a specific sound that seems masked or harsh
Make a small EQ change only when you have a concrete listening problem to address. Change one band or preset at a time, then compare in the same game and scene. Treat the result as a personal tonal preference, not proof that the adjustment improves competitive performance: the sources here do not establish that boosting a frequency makes footsteps objectively easier to locate.

For A50 X measurement-derived EQ examples
Atrium Audio publishes a model-specific A50 X parametric EQ example based on measurements. Its numeric filter values are an independent correction example, not an official Logitech gaming preset, a competitive-performance ranking, or a setting established for Gen 3, Gen 4, or Gen 5. Use it only if you deliberately want to explore that model-specific approach, and keep your original setting so you can revert.
Astro A50 spatial audio settings depend on the game and audio path
Spatial audio is a separate decision from EQ. The game, platform, headset, and companion software can each affect the audio path; their controls are not automatically interchangeable. Avoid assuming that stacking multiple spatial effects will improve positioning. Change one processing layer at a time so you can identify which setting altered the sound.

Call of Duty Enhanced Headphone Mode
For the specific Call of Duty Enhanced Headphone Mode setup covered by Embody’s instructions, Embody recommends turning Dolby Audio off on the headset and starting with a flat EQ. This is guidance for that mode, not a general rule for every game, A50 generation, or spatial-audio configuration.
Other games and platforms
Follow the selected game’s own headphone or spatial-audio instructions where available, and keep track of any platform-level spatial setting as well as the headset processing. The A50 Gen 4 quick-start guide has setup instructions for PS4 and PC/Mac; those instructions should not be silently treated as a setup guide for Gen 5 or A50 X. When a game has no specific guidance, start neutral and compare the available options in that game rather than assuming a particular combination is best.

A practical way to tune without losing your reference
- Confirm the exact headset. Identify whether it is Gen 3, Gen 4, Gen 5, or A50 X before opening software or copying settings.
- Choose the matching app. Use Logitech’s compatibility page to find the listed software for that generation.
- Check the whole audio path. Note the platform, in-game audio mode, headset EQ, and any spatial-audio processing that is enabled.
- Start neutral. Leave EQ at its default/neutral position and avoid changing several processing layers at once.
- Change one thing and compare. Use the same game scene and make small, reversible adjustments. Decide whether the change actually helps your listening preference, then keep it or restore the previous setting.
Because listener anatomy, preference, and each game’s mix affect perceived spatial cues, these comparisons are more useful than treating a preset as universally optimal. The available sources do not establish a single best curve or a performance figure for A50 EQ and spatial audio.
