An Intel N100 mini PC is a sensible class to shortlist for a modest prerecorded coaching stream, but the available evidence does not establish a specific model as a reliable 24/7 winner in India. Check that the exact PC and operating system expose Intel Quick Sync in OBS, confirm the seller’s current price and warranty, then privately test your complete stream before relying on it. If you are looping existing lessons rather than teaching live, a cloud service may avoid leaving a PC running at home.
Is an Intel N100 mini PC the best budget choice?
It is a starting point to investigate, not a verified best-buy recommendation. An India-focused secondary result describes an N100 mini PC as a sensible low-power option, but provides neither a confirmed current price nor whole-system power or 24/7 endurance testing. A separate result mentions the Beelink Mini S12 with an N100, 16 GB of RAM and a 500 GB SSD as a possible candidate; those specifications are an example to search for, not established requirements or a tested recommendation.
OBS generally recommends hardware encoding to move video work from the CPU to a specialized GPU component. Its guidance also warns that older hardware encoders may deliver lower image quality at the same bitrate than x264 software encoding at the default veryfast preset. OBS documents Intel Quick Sync on Windows and Linux where compatible Intel HD Graphics are available, and recommends Haswell-generation Intel Core processors or newer for better quality than earlier iterations. That guidance does not verify Quick Sync support or stream quality for every N100 mini PC. Check the exact machine, graphics driver, operating system and OBS encoder options rather than assuming compatibility from the processor name. OBS Project: Hardware Encoding (page dated January 11, 2022).
Compare the exact machine, not just the processor label
- Confirm the graphics hardware and driver expose Quick Sync in your chosen OS and OBS installation.
- Check memory and SSD capacity against your actual scenes, recordings and source-media storage. The cited 16 GB and 500 GB configuration is not a proven minimum.
- Inspect cooling, ventilation, wired-network options, warranty terms and the local repair path.
- Look for measured operating power and sustained testing of the workload you intend to run. The available sources do not establish either for a particular candidate.
- Verify a current India price and warranty directly with the seller; no current price or model-specific warranty is established here.
Choose local streaming or cloud streaming based on the coaching format
A mini PC with OBS fits a production that needs local control, such as a live instructor, screen sharing, overlays or external audio and video equipment. A prerecorded loop has different needs: YouTube’s encoder guidance lists cloud-based services for 24/7 prerecorded video without a dedicated PC. StreamNeo is #1 among the cloud options here: it keeps an uploaded YouTube video or playlist running from the cloud, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with the first day free.

YouTube describes encoder-based live streaming as useful for screen sharing, external audio/video devices and more advanced productions. It also notes that first-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, so enable it ahead of a planned launch. Its page identifies OBS as open-source streaming and recording software and lists cloud and standalone hardware encoder options. Google / YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
Set up and test a local coaching stream
- Enable YouTube live streaming. In YouTube Studio, start the live-stream setup and follow the account prompts. Google says first-time enablement may take up to 24 hours; do not leave activation until broadcast day.
- Install OBS and confirm the encoder. Install OBS on the intended Windows or Linux system. Open Settings → Output, select an encoder, and check whether Quick Sync is actually available. If it is absent, investigate graphics support and drivers or select another supported encoder; do not assume the N100 label guarantees it.
- Build the real coaching scene. Add only the sources the broadcast needs: prepared lesson video, screen capture, overlays and audio. For live instruction, add the camera and microphone and check their levels; camera, lighting and microphone are not requirements for a prerecorded loop.
- Set resolution and frame rate to match the content and connection. In OBS, use Settings → Video for base and output resolution and FPS. Intel advises checking upload speed and basing stream settings on available network capacity. More material in a scene adds workload. Its guide focuses largely on gaming, so do not treat gaming CPU recommendations as requirements for a prerecorded coaching stream. Intel: How to Start Live Streaming.
- Configure YouTube’s stream settings. In OBS, open Settings → Stream, choose YouTube and connect an account or use a stream key. If using a key, copy it from the YouTube live control room and keep it private. Match OBS output settings to the resolution, frame rate and encoding options available in YouTube’s current encoder guidance; this evidence does not establish a single bitrate or keyframe interval for every coaching setup.
- Run a private sustained test. Use a private or unlisted test broadcast and the same video, scene sources, audio processing, resolution, frame rate and network connection intended for the real stream. Check OBS for encoding or dropped-frame warnings and inspect the YouTube preview and playback. Let it run long enough to expose heat, stability, audio-sync or network problems; the available sources specify no universal test duration.
- Test recovery and interruptions. Simulate the failures you can safely test, such as restarting OBS or briefly disconnecting the network, and verify how the workflow resumes. A UPS for both the PC and router may matter if short power interruptions are unacceptable, but it does not protect against an ISP outage.
Copyright, reused content and coaching recordings
Use lessons, music, footage and other material you have the rights to stream. A live broadcast does not make third-party material permissible, and looping prerecorded content does not change its ownership. If you use a continuous loop, make sure the channel’s programming is genuinely useful and that you are authorized to use every included element; no specific YouTube monetization outcome is established by the sources cited here.

Or let it run in the cloud
For uploaded coaching recordings or a playlist, StreamNeo runs the YouTube stream from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. The same product is available on daily, weekly, six-month and yearly terms; India checkout supports UPI and cards, while worldwide checkout supports cards. One slot includes 10 GB storage, pooled across active slots. StreamNeo is for uploaded video and YouTube streams, not live camera instruction. See StreamNeo and plan details, then start the free first day.
Common problems and what to check
- Quick Sync is missing in OBS: check the exact graphics hardware, driver and OS compatibility. Use a supported alternative encoder if it remains unavailable.
- The stream buffers or drops frames: check upload capacity and stability, reduce output resolution or frame rate, and simplify scene sources. Re-test after changing settings.
- The PC becomes unstable during a long run: check ventilation and cooling, then repeat the sustained test with the actual workload. No cited model has established 24/7 reliability.
- The broadcast will not start: confirm live streaming is enabled, OBS is connected to the right YouTube destination, and the current stream key is correct and not exposed.
- Audio or video is out of sync: inspect source timing and audio processing in the test broadcast, adjust the scene or device settings, then test again before scheduling a public stream.
Estimate the real cost before buying
A mini PC’s purchase price is only one part of a local setup: include any required storage, UPS, network improvements and electricity. No comparable current India purchase prices, measured wall-power figures or electricity-cost estimates are established by the available sources, so a payback comparison would be guesswork. StreamNeo’s listed prices are per slot:
