Neither listing proves a VPS can encode and stream continuously at your chosen quality. For prerecorded episodes that only need to loop, compare those plans with managed cloud streaming before committing—and test the exact setup you plan to run.
Budget VPS options listed for India
The prices and specifications below are provider listings accessed on October 3, 2026, not independent performance tests. Check the selected plan and checkout terms before purchase.
| Option | Listed price and details | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Endercloud INDIA-VPS-8GB | Starting at ₹999/month; Mumbai hosting; 3 vCores, 8 GB DDR4 ECC RAM, 50 GB NVMe storage, 2 TB bandwidth, and stated 1 Gbps port speed. Endercloud India VPS | Current checkout price, included transfer period and overage policy, and whether your sustained encoder workload performs adequately. |
| CloudPe VPS | Advertised from ₹930/month, with infrastructure advertised in Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai and zero egress fees. CloudPe VPS | Selected-region availability, what “zero egress” covers, any bandwidth limits, and performance under your encoder workload. |
These offers are not directly equivalent: Endercloud lists a specific plan and transfer allowance, while CloudPe’s stated zero-egress claim does not by itself establish an unlimited data allowance or the total cost for your use. Confirm the exact terms with each provider.
Estimate the bandwidth before choosing a plan
A 24/7 stream transfers data continuously, so monthly bandwidth can matter as much as CPU and RAM. YouTube recommends 5 Mbps for H.264 at 1080p30. At that bitrate, a 30-day month of continuous streaming uses roughly 1.62 TB in decimal units: 5 megabits per second × 2,592,000 seconds ÷ 8. This is a calculation from YouTube’s recommended bitrate, not a published usage statistic. Protocol overhead and reconnections add some transfer, so a 2 TB allowance leaves limited margin. Confirm how the provider measures bandwidth and what happens if you exceed the allowance. YouTube encoder settings

A 1 Gbps port describes a transfer rate, not a monthly data allowance. It does not mean a plan includes 1 TB or 2 TB of transfer.
What YouTube expects from the encoder
YouTube’s official encoder guidance supports RTMP/RTMPS and lists H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1 video codecs; supported options depend on ingest mode. For RTMP/RTMPS, YouTube recommends constant bitrate (CBR) and a keyframe every two seconds, with a maximum interval of four seconds. At 1080p30, its recommended bitrate is 5 Mbps for H.264 and 10 Mbps for H.265 or AV1; at 720p30, the corresponding recommendations are 3 Mbps and 6 Mbps. Treat these as codec-specific guidance, not as a requirement to maximize bitrate. Choose for your source video and available upload capacity. YouTube’s live encoder settings

YouTube recommends RTMPS, which encrypts RTMP delivery using TLS/SSL. It also recommends testing stream quality before going live with audio and motion similar to the real stream, then monitoring stream health during the event. Encoder settings and testing guidance · About RTMPS
Can you stream prerecorded podcast episodes from a VPS?
A VPS can host an encoder that sends a prerecorded playlist to YouTube Live, but the provider’s listed price, port speed, CPU, and memory do not establish that it can encode continuously at your chosen resolution and frame rate. Workload matters: a static image or simple visual may differ from animated overlays, but the listed offers do not verify performance for either case.

Before relying on a VPS, run an unattended test using the intended media, encoder settings, overlays, and stream duration. Confirm that the stream stays healthy, the audio remains in sync, the server does not run out of resources, and transfer usage fits the plan. First-time YouTube live streaming may take up to 24 hours to become available after enabling it. YouTube: Create a live stream with an encoder
VPS or managed cloud looping?
For an archive-only loop, a VPS gives you control over the host and encoder, but you take on setup, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery. A managed service can reduce server administration; compare its cost, storage, accepted media, restart behavior, number of outputs, and access to your YouTube account against your needs.

| Approach | What the listing says | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud looping of uploaded recordings for YouTube, with a flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K/60fps and a first free day. StreamNeo | Vendor claims; check current terms and workflow. It is for uploaded videos, not camera-based live production. |
| StreamSetu | Advertises cloud 24/7 streaming, playlist scheduling and looping, multistream, and monthly billing at ₹649 per channel plus ₹49 per 10 GB storage, with 18% GST stated separately. StreamSetu | Vendor listing; confirm current price, features, storage, and applicable terms before purchase. |
StreamNeo says its slot includes one always-on stream, pooled storage of 10 GB per slot across active slots, playlists and 24/7 looping, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from its team. Its listed plans have the same product features; only the billing term changes. These are StreamNeo’s own product claims, not an independent test.

Copyright, reused content, and archive planning
Technical ability to loop a playlist does not grant permission to use the recordings, music, artwork, or other material in it. Before putting an archive on a continuous public stream, check that you control the relevant rights or have permission, and review YouTube’s current policies and any restrictions shown in YouTube Studio. Repeating content does not by itself establish eligibility for monetization; YouTube assesses channels under its monetization policies. A useful preflight is to review StreamNeo’s copyright safety checklist.
How to choose and test
- Decide whether you need a VPS. If the job is simply repeating uploaded episodes, compare managed cloud looping before taking on server administration. If you need custom encoder control, a VPS may be appropriate.
- Calculate transfer. Multiply your intended bitrate by the hours you will stream, convert bits to bytes, and allow headroom for overhead and reconnections. Compare the result with the provider’s actual monthly allowance and overage terms.
- Confirm the actual plan. Check the selected location, operating system, storage, recurring price, transfer policy, and whether the provider offers a remedy if sustained performance is inadequate. Do not infer encoding capacity from vCores or a port-speed figure alone.
- Configure the encoder and YouTube ingest. Use YouTube’s current ingest guidance for the chosen codec and mode; for RTMP/RTMPS, set CBR and a two-second keyframe interval, never above four seconds. Use RTMPS where available and keep the stream key private.
- Test unattended. Run the real playlist with representative audio and motion long enough to expose resource, sync, connection, or recovery issues. Monitor YouTube stream health and the VPS’s resource and transfer usage before depending on it for a continuous channel.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload your podcast recordings or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; uploaded video streams at its original quality up to 4K/60fps at one price per slot. StreamNeo says it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, and the monthly option is $9.99 per month. It streams to YouTube and plays uploaded videos; it is not a camera-to-live service. Start your free StreamNeo day.
