For looping uploaded videos on YouTube without leaving a computer running, StreamNeo is the clearest fit: it runs the stream from the cloud, supports uploaded video up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. Other services serve different needs: Gyre is listed by YouTube for continuous prerecorded-video streaming, Wowza Video offers managed 24×7 channels with account prerequisites, and Google Cloud Live Stream API and AWS Elemental MediaLive are infrastructure options that require more engineering. The right choice depends on whether you are looping recordings or transmitting a live camera or event feed.
Best cloud services by use case
These products are not interchangeable. A cloud service built to loop uploaded recordings has a different job from a transcoding pipeline for a live camera feed. YouTube’s encoder directory describes encoders as software or standalone hardware that convert video into a digital format for streaming, and its verified list includes both Gyre and AWS Elemental MediaLive. YouTube notes that listed products are not made by YouTube (YouTube Help).
| Rank | Service | Best-supported fit | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | StreamNeo | Looping uploaded videos on YouTube from the cloud without keeping a local computer running. | Streams uploaded videos to YouTube; it is not a live-camera service. Any quality up to 4K 60fps as uploaded is included at one flat price per slot, and the first day is free with no card. |
| 2 | Gyre | Cloud-based continuous broadcasting of prerecorded videos. | YouTube lists Gyre for the 24/7 prerecorded-video use case. The cited YouTube page does not establish Gyre’s current pricing or terms. |
| 3 | Wowza Video | A managed 24×7 channel. | Wowza’s guide says continuous streaming is unavailable in trial accounts and must be enabled for the account. |
| 4 | Google Cloud Live Stream API | An engineering-led live transcoding pipeline. | It accepts RTMP or SRT and outputs HLS or DASH; the reviewed documentation does not establish it as a turnkey direct-to-YouTube service. An active channel may need a planned restart after 24 hours. |
| 5 | AWS Elemental MediaLive | A broadcast-grade cloud processing architecture. | YouTube lists it as a verified encoder, and AWS publishes a live-streaming implementation guide. The available sources do not establish a simple turnkey 24/7 YouTube package. |
StreamNeo’s monthly plan is $9.99 per month; its product page describes the same features on every plan, with only the subscription length changing. See StreamNeo for details.
Choose based on what you are streaming
Prerecorded video loop
If the source is a set of finished videos that should play continuously, start with services expressly described for that workflow. YouTube identifies Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded streams. StreamNeo also fits this use case: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then start the cloud stream. Neither statement implies that an uploaded-video service can broadcast a live camera.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Live camera or event feed
A live source needs an encoder or a cloud processing pipeline that receives the feed and hands off an output to YouTube. Google Cloud Live Stream API documents RTMP and SRT inputs, HLS and DASH outputs, and backup input support (Google Cloud Live Stream API overview). Its documented outputs are not themselves proof of a direct YouTube publishing workflow; validate the downstream handoff before choosing it.
For a higher-production-value live event, YouTube recommends professional-grade hardware encoders, but a hardware encoder is an optional part of the workflow, not a requirement for every cloud service. YouTube’s guidance also emphasizes checking stream quality, audience access, and failover (YouTube live streaming tips).

What to check before committing
- Workflow fit: confirm whether the service loops uploaded files or processes a live input. Do not treat a transcoding API as a ready-to-use continuous YouTube channel.
- Recovery and restart design: check how the service responds to an interrupted YouTube connection and whether you need to restart a channel or encoder. Google Cloud says a channel may be restarted after 24 hours in an active streaming state (Google Cloud quotas and limits).
- Account prerequisites: Wowza’s 24×7 workflow is not available on trial accounts and needs enablement, according to its 24×7 channel guide.
- Archive expectations: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a longer continuous stream will be archived the same way; plan separate recording or archiving if that matters (YouTube encoder setup).
- Copyright and monetization: use only video and audio you have rights to stream. YouTube says Partner Program members can monetize a live stream, but that platform eligibility statement does not guarantee a particular continuous format will qualify or generate revenue. Check YouTube’s current rules and the rights for each asset before going live.
- Operational ownership: establish who monitors the stream, tests failover, checks the audience can access it, and responds to a failed input or output. Continuous operation still needs a plan for interruptions.
Practical setup and monitoring
For an encoder-based YouTube stream
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and obtain its server URL and stream key from the stream setup. Treat the stream key as a password; do not publish or share it.
- In the encoder or service, enter the YouTube server URL and stream key. For a cloud prerecorded-video service, upload the recording or prepare the playlist first, then configure the stream destination.
- Start the encoder or cloud channel and wait for the YouTube preview. Verify picture and sound in the preview before making the event public or directing viewers to it.
- Check that the intended audience can access the event, and monitor the service and YouTube status during operation. Test failover in advance for a live event rather than discovering the recovery path during an outage.
YouTube’s encoder setup explains the server URL and stream-key workflow, while its live-streaming tips recommend checking preview, quality, access, and failover (encoder setup; live-streaming tips).
For a Google Cloud Live Stream API architecture
- Configure an input endpoint for the live source using a supported input protocol, RTMP or SRT.
- Configure the channel’s processing and supported output, HLS or DASH, and decide how a backup input will be used.
- Design and validate the downstream delivery to YouTube separately. The API’s documented output formats do not establish that the service directly publishes to YouTube.
- Plan channel lifecycle and restart handling: Google documents that an active streaming channel may be restarted after 24 hours. Verify that the handoff and recovery work before relying on the pipeline for continuous delivery.
Cost and trade-offs
The available documentation does not provide comparable current prices for Gyre, Wowza Video, Google Cloud Live Stream API, or AWS Elemental MediaLive, so a reliable cost ranking is not possible here. For the infrastructure options, estimate the complete operating cost rather than just the processing component: include the surrounding delivery, storage, monitoring, engineering, and recovery work that your design requires. Confirm current vendor pricing and account terms directly before selecting a service.
