The best Conjuration spell in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered depends on what you need: a creature to draw attacks, a temporary weapon, or help against undead. There is no verified universal ranking for the Remastered build. Bethesda’s manual confirms those spell roles and how summons and bound weapons work; specific spell names and sample stats come from a community guide and should be checked in-game before treating them as current.
How Conjuration works in Oblivion Remastered
Bethesda describes Conjuration as the school for spells that summon creatures and magical weapons. Its official manual explains that summoned beings appear near the caster and attack entities that attack the caster until the effect ends or the creature dies. That makes a summon a temporary combat helper, not a permanent companion.
Bound weapons work differently: a bound weapon appears equipped, moving the weapon you were holding into your inventory, and vanishes if you put it away. The manual supports this equipment behavior, but does not rank bound weapons by damage or declare one the strongest choice.
Best picks by what you need
For temporary combat support: Summon a creature
Summon Scamp, Summon Ghost, Summon Daedroth, Summon Dremora Lord, and Summon Skeleton appear in a GameFAQs buyable-spell guide. They are candidates to compare, not a confirmed Remastered power ranking: the official manual explains summon behavior but does not compare creatures or establish their relative strength. Check the spell descriptions available in your game and weigh cost, duration, and availability against the encounters you face.

For a conjured weapon: Bound Sword
Bound Sword is listed in the community guide as a Conjuration option. Choose it when you want a temporary weapon without relying on the weapon currently equipped; remember that putting it away ends the bound weapon effect. The manual does not establish that it outperforms ordinary weapons or other bound weapons.
For undead encounters: Turn Undead
Turn Undead is also listed in the community catalog. It is a possible pick for an undead-focused situation, but the reviewed official material does not confirm its Remastered effect, availability, or effectiveness. Read its in-game description before relying on it for a particular enemy.

Spell costs, durations, and availability: verify in-game
The community guide reports example durations for several spells, but these figures have not been independently confirmed in the Remastered build. Treat them as leads rather than authoritative current stats:
| Spell | Example duration in community guide | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Summon Scamp | 20 seconds | Reported by the community guide; not independently verified for Remastered. |
| Summon Ghost | 25 seconds | Reported by the community guide; not independently verified for Remastered. |
| Summon Daedroth | 30 seconds | Reported by the community guide; not independently verified for Remastered. |
| Summon Dremora Lord | 35 seconds | Reported by the community guide; not independently verified for Remastered. |
| Summon Skeleton | 40 seconds | Reported by the community guide; not independently verified for Remastered. |
| Bound Sword | 15 seconds | Reported by the community guide; not independently verified for Remastered. |
The available official manual says new spells can be learned by buying them from characters or completing certain quests. It does not give a Remastered-specific list of spell vendors or Conjuration skill thresholds. Confirm the spell’s current cost, duration, and acquisition requirements in your game rather than planning around an unverified catalog entry.

Choosing Conjuration for your build
Use Conjuration to fill a gap rather than assume it replaces the rest of your combat setup. Bethesda’s leveling guidance for Oblivion Remastered says enemies scale with player level and recommends improving a mix of combat, magic, and stealth skills. Applied to Conjuration, that is a general build consideration—not a tested rule that a particular summon or spell will keep pace with enemies.
- Need a temporary ally: compare the summon options actually available to your character.
- Need weapon access: consider Bound Sword, keeping its temporary equipment behavior in mind.
- Facing undead: inspect Turn Undead’s in-game description and confirm it applies to the encounter.
- Choosing between spells: compare the current in-game magicka cost, duration, effect, and how you acquired the spell.
What is confirmed about Remastered spell availability
Bethesda’s manual confirms that spells can be learned from characters or through certain quests, but the official pages reviewed do not provide a complete Remastered Conjuration catalog, current merchant stock, exact unlock thresholds, or comparative spell performance. The examples above come from a community guide whose accuracy for the Remastered build has not been independently established.

Remastered availability also spans multiple platforms and editions. Bethesda’s April 22, 2025 launch announcement covered Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, PlayStation 5, and PC; its product page includes later announcements, including Switch 2 availability and a patch dated September 17, 2026. Bethesda lists Spell Tomes among the additional DLC included with the Standard Edition, but the cited pages do not establish that it contains any particular Conjuration spell.
