For open-world exploration with tougher combat: Elden Ring
Pick Elden Ring if the freedom to roam matters more than matching Breath of the Wild’s lighter tone or puzzle focus. Its open world encourages discovery, but its dark fantasy setting and challenging boss encounters make combat a much bigger part of the experience.
