Forza Horizon 5 is the closest match if you want The Crew Motorfest’s combination of open-road exploration and festival events. Need for Speed Unbound is a better fit if you want free-roam street racing and vehicle customization. The right choice also depends on your platform: the games are not available on identical systems.
Which game is most like The Crew Motorfest?
Forza Horizon 5 is the strongest feature-based match for Motorfest’s festival format. It puts a driving festival in an open-world setting and combines races and showcase events with story activities, a Festival Playlist and multiplayer convoys. Playground Games’ starting guide describes the game in a rendition of Mexico and lists Xbox, Steam, PC and PlayStation 5 availability for new players.

Choose Forza Horizon 5 for festival-style exploration
Motorfest and Forza Horizon 5 both frame driving as more than a sequence of isolated races: the open world connects activities, while festival-themed progression gives you reasons to try different events. Forza Horizon 5’s published feature set includes Showcase events, narrative Horizon Stories, Horizon Arcade, multiplayer modes and cross-platform convoys, alongside its Festival Playlist.
Choose it if you want a broad mix of driving activities and online play within a festival setting. Its world is a rendition of Mexico, not Hawaii, and its event structure and content are its own; it is a close fit by format, not a duplicate of Motorfest.

Choose Need for Speed Unbound for street racing and customization
Need for Speed Unbound is the alternative for a different driving fantasy. EA highlights free roam, PvP, vehicle customization and post-launch content. Those features make it relevant if you want to cruise and race in a street-racing context, but its published feature emphasis is not the same festival-and-playlist model that makes Motorfest distinctive.
EA’s news listing records a February 3, 2025 post titled “END OF KAIZEN REVIEW,” which announced that no further updates were planned. Do not choose Unbound on the assumption that new updates are still being released.

What makes The Crew Motorfest distinctive?
Motorfest’s defining combination is its Hawaiian setting and playlists built around different car-culture themes. Ubisoft describes street races in Honolulu, off-road driving on volcanic slopes, race tracks and four islands. Its current product page lists more than 25 playlists and more than 800 vehicle models from more than 50 manufacturers. Those figures describe Ubisoft’s product offering, not independent measures of quality.
Ubisoft’s page also references seasonal content and a Year 4 roadmap, including a new free island and planned additions. Roadmap items and future dates can change, so treat them as plans rather than released content.
