For intentional double-clicking and drag clicking in Minecraft, start with the Bloody A70/A70X. For a lighter, more versatile mouse suited to butterfly clicking and everyday gaming, consider the Glorious Model O 2 Wired. These are specialist and all-rounder choices, respectively—not guarantees of a particular clicks-per-second (CPS) score. If you mean fixing accidental double clicks from a failing mouse, choose a reliable mouse that suppresses duplicate inputs instead; that is the opposite goal.
The title’s 2025 date is out of date. This guide focuses on the models and evidence in the available research, while treating stock and model revisions as things to verify before buying. Minecraft server rules also vary: check the rules for the server and mode you play before using techniques that produce extra registered clicks.
First, what do you mean by “double-clicking”?
In Minecraft mouse guides, “double-clicking” often refers to trying to make one press register as multiple inputs. It is not the same as a normal desktop double-click, where two separate clicks open a file or activate an item. The best mouse depends on which technique you actually want:

Best specialist mouse: Bloody A70/A70X
Choose the A70 family if your priority is experimenting with intentional multi-click registration or drag clicking, rather than getting the most balanced mouse for every game. Specialist coverage identifies the A70 as purpose-oriented for these techniques. The appeal is the combination of its button surface and click behavior, not a promise that every player will reach a specific CPS.
Consider another mouse if you want predictable one-click behavior for browsing, inventory management or games where duplicate inputs cause problems. Also check whether the listing is for an A70 or A70X, whether it is new or used, and whether the seller is reputable. Current pricing and official availability were not established in the research, so avoid relying on old prices or an unverified marketplace listing.
Best balance for butterfly clicking: Glorious Model O 2 Wired
The wired Model O 2 is the more balanced starting point if you want a lightweight mouse for Minecraft and other games, and want software control over debounce. Specialist coverage notes that some Glorious software versions offer a 0 ms setting. Confirm the exact mouse and software version: do not assume that every Model O generation exposes the same controls.

Lower debounce may allow closely spaced inputs through, but it can also make a normal press register as two or more clicks. It is a trade-off, not a free performance boost. The mouse’s coating and your technique also affect drag-click results.
Best ergonomic alternative: Roccat Kone Pro or a verified Kone model
If a larger, ergonomic shell suits your hand better than a symmetrical lightweight mouse, a Kone model may be worth considering. Community-oriented coverage often recommends relevant Kone mice for their shape and button behavior. But the Kone Pro is an older product, and neither availability nor performance should be generalized across the entire Kone range. Before buying, verify the exact model, coating, switch and whether the listing is new, clearance, refurbished or used.
Best conventional alternative: HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Wired
The Haste 2 Wired is a sensible pick when low weight and conventional gaming matter more than maximum duplicate-click output. HyperX’s official specifications list a 53 g weight, 26,000 DPI sensor, polling up to 8,000 Hz and switches rated for up to 100 million clicks. The advertised click rating is not proof of drag-click performance or a guarantee against wear. Choose it for general gaming, not on the assumption that it will produce a particular CPS.
If you need wireless convenience, the Pulsefire Haste 2 Wireless is a general-purpose alternative. HyperX lists 61 g, up to 100 hours of battery life and 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired connectivity. Those features do not make it a specialist double-click mouse; verify the exact model’s settings before expecting debounce control.
Best for avoiding accidental double clicks
If your old mouse is registering two clicks when you press once, do not buy a mouse marketed for intentional double-clicking. Look for dependable single-click behavior and a switch design intended to reduce unwanted duplicates. Switch type alone is not a complete guarantee: firmware and the particular model matter.
What to check before buying
Debounce: useful control, real compromise
Debounce is filtering intended to stop one physical switch event from being interpreted as several clicks. Reducing it can make closely spaced inputs easier to register; raising it can improve predictable single-click behavior. A 0 ms setting does not guarantee a CPS result. The outcome also depends on your fingers, grip, button surface, firmware, game input handling and server-side filtering.

If a mouse offers an adjustable setting, start conservatively. Lower it only as needed, then test whether ordinary clicks still behave reliably. If a mouse duplicates clicks at its normal settings, do not keep lowering debounce to compensate; it may be defective or worn.
Switch type is not the same as click speed
Mechanical switches can be more susceptible to contact behavior that players exploit for intentional duplicate registrations, but can also develop unwanted double-click faults. Optical switches generally avoid mechanical-contact failure modes and are often designed to suppress duplicate inputs. That can make them less suitable for intentional multi-clicking even when their actuation is fast. “Optical,” “mechanical” or a high advertised click-life number alone does not establish how a particular mouse will perform. Verify the exact model and firmware.
Surface, button shape and grip
For drag clicking, surface friction and button geometry can matter more than a high DPI specification. Look for a coating and texture that suit your technique, buttons wide enough for your fingers, and a shell that does not wobble under pressure. Consider whether you can comfortably place two fingers on the button, whether the left/right button separation suits your grip, and whether thumb buttons interfere with holding the mouse.

Hand size and grip matter as much as a product’s reputation. A small, medium or large hand may find the same mouse very different to control. Check whether its symmetrical or ergonomic shape suits your palm, claw or fingertip grip. A mouse that yields more clicks but causes discomfort or worsens aim is not a good choice for play.
Weight and cable
A light wired mouse can be easy to reposition for PvP and bridging, and avoids battery management. But low weight does not automatically improve clicking: a heavier or larger mouse may be easier for some players to stabilize. Pick based on control and comfort, not weight alone.
Durability and wear
Repeated vibration and friction from drag clicking can contribute to wear and eventual unwanted double-clicking. A mouse desirable for high-CPS experimentation may be a frustrating daily-use mouse. Specialist discussion of drag clicking and wear is useful context, but it does not establish a guaranteed lifespan for a particular model. A manufacturer’s click rating, such as the Haste 2’s 100-million-click rating, is not a drag-click durability test.

- Install the manufacturer’s current software and select the exact mouse connected.
- Look for a click, button or debounce control. Menu names and availability vary by model and software version; do not assume a universal path.
- Change the setting in small increments rather than jumping straight to the minimum.
- Save the setting to the correct profile, and use a separate Minecraft profile if the software supports one.
- Test single clicks in a browser and file manager, as well as in the game. Check selection, dragging and menus—not just a CPS tester.
- If clicks start duplicating during everyday use, raise debounce or restore the default profile. If duplicates persist at normal settings, consider a fault rather than further lowering the setting.
A high score in a click tester may not translate to better in-game results. The game may ignore closely spaced inputs, the server may filter them, or the mouse software may not have saved the setting. Technique, grip and aim matter too; sacrificing control for raw CPS can make actual play worse.
Check Minecraft rules before using extra click registration
Rules differ among Minecraft Java and Bedrock, servers, and game modes, and they can change. Before using butterfly or drag clicking, check the current rules for the specific server and mode you play. Look for any CPS limits, restrictions on duplicate inputs, or language covering automated or abnormal input. Do not assume that a mouse feature or a particular CPS number is universally permitted or safe from anti-cheat flags.
If you compare CPS claims, ask how they were measured: which technique and button, test duration, software settings, and whether the result came from a browser, recording or actual server play. Figures such as 20+, 60+ or 100+ CPS reported in specialist coverage are not comparable standardized benchmarks without those details.
