Processor and RAM
Read the exact processor and installed memory alongside the GPU. Best Buy cautions that a slower processor or limited RAM can keep a powerful graphics card from reaching its potential. Its guidance is not an independent benchmark or a guarantee about every configuration, but it is a useful reminder to assess the balance of the system rather than paying for one headline component.
Storage
Compare the drive type and capacity. Best Buy notes that SSDs are faster than hard drives for starting and launching software; capacity also affects how many games and other files you can keep installed. A larger drive is not automatically worth a premium if the rest of the configuration or your storage needs do not justify it.

Upgrade options
Best Buy says desktop PCs can be easier to upgrade, but that does not establish that every prebuilt accepts every replacement part. Check the exact model’s upgrade constraints, ports and component compatibility before counting an upgrade path as part of the deal. For RAM in particular, compatibility with the system and motherboard matters.
Normalize price comparisons
Compare like with like before judging a discount. A displayed saving is not an independent performance test, and differently configured PCs are not equivalent just because their sale prices are close.

Check condition, warranty and included items
New, open-box and refurbished
Best Buy’s category includes filters for new, open-box and refurbished products. For an open-box or refurbished unit, inspect that exact item’s condition, return terms, seller, warranty, included parts and fulfillment. A category search result does not establish the terms for a particular unit.
Prebuilt convenience and warranty
A prebuilt can be ready to play and can allow component swaps or larger cooling, while placing its components under one system warranty. Those are general advantages, not a promise about a specific model. Best Buy recommends checking the exact configuration and manufacturer warranty on the product page.
