What the Jackal PDW is built for
Activision describes the Jackal PDW as a full-auto SMG whose mobility and handling suit aggressive close-quarters engagements. It unlocks at Player Level 43. Those strengths make it a natural choice for players who want to move quickly and fight at close range, rather than a weapon whose setup should be judged by one attachment list alone. Activision’s Black Ops 6 weapon overview also explains that Gunsmith attachment effects are grouped under Firepower, Accuracy, Mobility, and Handling, with detailed stats such as recoil gun kick, reload quickness, and bullet velocity.

How to assess or adjust the build
Use the in-game Gunsmith to compare the displayed effects for the build and any alternative you try. Focus on the tradeoffs that matter for your playstyle:
- Recoil and accuracy: Check the detailed recoil values and whether you can keep shots on target during sustained fire.
- Range and bullet velocity: Compare the listed range and bullet-velocity effects if you often engage beyond close quarters.
- Handling and mobility: Check the handling and mobility categories, plus individual details such as reload quickness, if you prioritize fast movement and weapon readiness.
- Magazine capacity: Consider whether the added capacity suits your engagements and whether its tradeoff is worthwhile for you.
Activision’s overview does not publish numerical gains for each attachment in the cited material. Use the live Gunsmith values rather than assuming a particular attachment still gives the same benefit it did when a guide was written.

Attachment slots and Gunfighter
A standard build has five attachment points. Activision says the Gunfighter Wildcard raises the allowance to eight, letting you add three more attachments. Use those extra slots only if the additional benefits matter more to you than the cost of selecting that Wildcard.
Why older attachment advice may no longer fit
Activision’s July 2025 Season 04 Reloaded patch notes recorded Jackal PDW attachment adjustments, including changes involving Rapid Fire recoil penalties, Gain-Twist Barrel bullet-velocity improvement, Short Barrel jump sprint-to-fire improvement, and Ported Compensator vertical-recoil improvement.
