For a flexible Kibellah build, take Bladedancer into Executioner. Prioritize Agility and Weapon Skill early: Owlcat says both scale Bladedancer’s signature Death From Above attack. Executioner then complements her mobility with damage-over-time effects and ways to make those effects hit harder. The broad progression is supported; exact talent, ability, and equipment choices can vary with difficulty and game version.
Which archetype should Kibellah take?
Build her as a Bladedancer first, then an Executioner. Bladedancer supplies mobile melee attacks, while Executioner focuses on damage over time (DoT)—effects that continue dealing damage after they are applied. That gives Kibellah a coherent role: move into useful positions, attack enemies, and build toward spreading effects that Executioner can exploit.
Owlcat’s official archetype overview describes the mechanics behind this pairing. A separate August 17, 2026 guide for version 1.6 and Unfair difficulty also recommends Bladedancer into Executioner. Its available description corroborates the overall route, but not a complete, verifiable level-by-level build.
What to prioritize early
Agility and Weapon Skill
Put Agility and Weapon Skill at the top of your priorities. Owlcat states: “Death From Above damage scales with Agility and Weapon Skill.” Those characteristics therefore support the attack that defines Bladedancer’s mobile approach.

Bladedancer also lists Strength and Toughness among its characteristics, but the official overview does not give a precise attribute schedule. Avoid treating any fixed point-by-point allocation as universally optimal; adjust other choices to your character’s needs and the difficulty you are playing.
Mobility and attack opportunities
Bladedancer gains charges of Death From Above with each kill. The ability lets Kibellah jump a short distance and damage enemies in the impact zone. Death Waltz enables repeated jumps, with Agility extending the sequence, while Acrobatic Artistry can return her to the starting cell after an incursion. These mechanics favor using movement to reach valuable targets or attack groups, rather than treating her as a stationary melee attacker.
How Executioner complements Bladedancer
Executioner specializes in manipulating DoT effects, increasing their potency and turning them into more damaging injuries. Its tools reward applying effects to enemies and creating opportunities to trigger them:
- Heroic act: doubles the damage of those effects.
- Gift of Torment: grants defensive bonuses based on how many enemies are afflicted.
- Where It Hurts: a free action that triggers multiple DoT procs on the next attack.
In practice, look for chances to reach and affect multiple enemies, then use Executioner’s payoff against afflicted targets. The archetype descriptions support that general combat logic, but do not establish one universally optimal turn-by-turn rotation.

Executioner or Assassin?
Executioner is the supported broad recommendation when you want Kibellah to combine mobile melee with damage-over-time payoffs. Assassin is an alternative to consider if you prefer a different emphasis, such as pursuing single-target damage rather than spreading effects across a fight. The available evidence does not prove that either archetype is best for every run, and it does not provide a fully verified comparison of their builds.
Version notes and build confidence
Owlcat’s July 2026 Update 1.6.1.511 announcement lists fixes affecting Blade Dancer and Assassin abilities. Among them is a fix so Death From Above and Blade Dance work with Scourging Strikes and Where It Hurts. That is useful context if you are relying on those interactions, but a listed fix is not proof that every interaction is now bug-free. Check the in-game tooltips for your installed version.
The overall Bladedancer-to-Executioner progression has support from the archetype descriptions and a recent version 1.6 guide. Exact level-by-level talents, abilities, and gear are not established by the available guide description, so treat detailed picks as patch- and difficulty-sensitive rather than guaranteed best-in-slot choices.
