Belkin Charging Case Pro: the direct charging-case option
T3 and Tom’s Guide report that the Belkin Charging Case Pro has a built-in 10,000mAh battery. Tom’s Guide also reports 30W charging and a stand suited to tabletop play. Those are review-reported specifications, not independent measurements in a side-by-side test. The earlier Belkin Charging Case used a power bank in a recess with a short cable, rather than the Pro’s integrated-battery design, according to T3.

Tom’s Guide estimates that the Pro can recharge the console about 1.5 times. Treat that as the reviewer’s estimate, not a guaranteed number: actual results can vary with use and charging conditions. T3 showed a $99.99 listing when accessed, but that is not a guaranteed current price; check the current listing and specifications before buying.
Pick the Pro if charging on the go is the requirement that makes a case worthwhile. If you only need to protect the console and carry games, compare the conventional cases below and account for the separate charger or power bank you would use when away from an outlet.

Nacon Protection Case XL: room for the dock, with added bulk
TechRadar says the Nacon Protection Case XL can carry the console, dock, ten game cards, and a few accessories, including a Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip and power cable. That makes it the more suitable option of these conventional cases when you want to bring a dock and a larger kit.

Nyko Thin Case: a shell for play, not travel storage
Nyko’s catalog lists Thin Case options for Switch 2. It is an attached shell for people who want a protective layer while holding or playing the console, rather than a padded carrying case. The catalog alone does not establish impact protection or how well the shell fits in practice. It does not list a battery or charging function, so it is not a substitute for a charger or travel case.

Nintendo says the original Nintendo Switch AC adapter (HAC-002) can charge Switch 2 directly, but not through the Switch 2 dock for charging or TV mode. Nintendo also lists the original Switch dock as incompatible with Switch 2. In other words, an older adapter may work for direct console charging, but it does not turn the original dock into a compatible Switch 2 dock.

For an unlicensed replacement AC adapter, Nintendo Support’s 2026 guidance says to use one rated at 54W or more. Nintendo still recommends a licensed Switch 2 adapter and says unlicensed products are not tested and evaluated by Nintendo. Check the adapter and dock you intend to bring rather than assuming every original Switch accessory will work the same way.
Which alternative should you choose?
- Choose Belkin Charging Case Pro if the case itself needs to supply power while you travel, and verify its current price and listing details.
- Choose PowerA if you want conventional protection plus space for games and small accessories, and are comfortable charging separately.
- Choose Nacon Protection Case XL if carrying the dock and more gear matters more than keeping your bag slim.
- Consider Nyko Thin Case if you want an attached shell during play rather than a carry case.
Before purchasing, confirm current availability, price, fit for your console and accessories, and whether the charging gear you already own is compatible with the way you plan to use it.
