For prerecorded video that needs to loop on YouTube without a computer running at home, StreamNeo is the first alternative to consider: it runs in the cloud, supports uploaded video up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives new accounts a free first day without a card. Other options with relevant vendor or platform documentation include Gyre and YTStream. StreamYard fits shorter prerecorded broadcasts better than an unattended 24/7 loop. The right choice depends on run length, output quality, playlist controls and whether you want cloud hosting or to operate your own encoder.

For a 24/7 prerecorded YouTube stream, the practical advantages are that nothing has to stay on at home, any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps uses one price per slot, and the service automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free without a card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or its pricing page; to try it, start a StreamNeo account.
2. Gyre: a YouTube-listed cloud option
YouTube’s encoder resource identifies Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 live streaming of prerecorded YouTube videos. The directory describes Full HD and 4K streaming at 30 or 60 FPS, operation without a camera or dedicated PC, and a built-in video converter. These are descriptions in YouTube’s resource, not independent tests of image quality, uptime or recovery.
Gyre is worth comparing if you want a cloud-hosted loop and need the resolutions listed in YouTube’s directory. The cited resource does not state Gyre’s price, so compare current plan details directly before choosing it.

3. YTStream: cloud playlists and loop controls
YTStream’s product page describes a workflow in which you upload prerecorded videos, arrange them into playlists, set loop counts and transitions, connect a YouTube stream key, and let the service broadcast continuously. It also advertises automatic restart on failure and dashboard analytics; those are provider claims, not independently verified reliability or performance measurements.

The page displayed per-stream monthly prices of $19 at 1080p, $39 at 4K and $99 at 8K, and advertised a $1 trial with 100 hours at 1080p. These displayed prices and trial terms may change. Confirm the current plan, trial conditions and stream limits on YTStream’s site before paying.
4. OneStream Live: keep it if its Enterprise limits fit
OneStream Live is the baseline, rather than a universal poor fit. Its Help Center says the 24/7 feature is exclusive to YouTube, requires Enterprise and allows a maximum 30-day run. Its web and mobile setup lets users select video from a device, OneStream storage or cloud storage, then schedule the stream and choose its duration in days. See the OneStream Live setup article for the current workflow.

If you need a continuous broadcast beyond the documented maximum, or do not want an Enterprise requirement, compare other services’ current terms rather than assuming OneStream offers an unlimited loop. If your stream fits the duration and plan, switching may not be necessary.
5. StreamYard: for shorter programs, not established 24/7 looping
StreamYard can be relevant if your goal is a scheduled prerecorded show, interview or multistream production. Its pricing page displays prerecorded streams of up to four hours and multistreaming to eight destinations on the plan shown. That four-hour limit makes the displayed offering distinct from an unattended, continuous loop; the page does not establish 24/7 prerecorded playback. Confirm which plan and limits are current at StreamYard’s pricing page.

YouTube’s encoder guide covers software and hardware encoder workflows for productions involving gameplay, overlays, microphones, cameras and other equipment. A self-hosted encoder can be appropriate when you want direct control of production, but the computer, software and network become your responsibility for the full broadcast. A cloud looping service is not a prerequisite for ordinary YouTube live production; it is a different way to keep prerecorded content running without maintaining an always-on local encoder.

What to compare before choosing
Continuous loop versus scheduled broadcast
Check whether the service explicitly supports unattended looping of prerecorded content, or only lets you schedule a finite program. A service that can play a prerecorded show is not automatically a 24/7 loop service. Also check whether its stream duration is capped and whether it resumes automatically after an interruption.
Destination and controls
Confirm that the platform sends to the destination you need. The OneStream Live 24/7 feature described in its Help Center is YouTube-only; StreamNeo is also YouTube-only. For playlist-based services, check whether you can set ordering, loop counts and transitions in the way your channel requires.
Resolution and price structure
Compare the plan’s actual output options with your source files and audience needs. Some providers display separate prices by resolution, while StreamNeo specifies one per-slot price for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps. Do not assume that a listed maximum means every account or plan includes it: read the current plan terms.

Replays and YouTube limits
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. For a continuous broadcast lasting longer, do not assume YouTube will create one complete, permanent replay of the entire run. Plan separate recordings or shorter broadcasts if a complete replay matters. YouTube also documents a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key; confirm current limits in YouTube’s encoder documentation.
Copyright and channel eligibility
Live content must comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Copyrighted music, video clips or other material can lead to restrictions, and channel restrictions may affect the ability to stream. Make sure you have the necessary rights for everything in a loop; using a streaming service does not grant content rights or exempt a broadcast from YouTube’s policies.
Quick Recap
Common problems and what to check
- The stream will not start: confirm that the channel is eligible to stream, the stream key is correct, and the service is targeting YouTube. Check the provider’s current setup instructions and YouTube Studio for account or policy restrictions.
- The broadcast stops before the intended end: check whether the provider imposes a maximum duration or whether the job was scheduled for a finite period. For OneStream Live’s documented 24/7 feature, the maximum is 30 days.
- The stream does not restart after YouTube disconnects: verify whether automatic restart is included in the chosen service and enabled for that stream. YTStream advertises automatic restart; StreamNeo includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. These are provider feature claims, not guarantees against every interruption.
- The archive is incomplete or missing: check the broadcast length. YouTube documents automatic archiving for streams under 12 hours; do not rely on that mechanism for a longer continuous run.
- The output looks different from the source: compare the provider’s resolution and conversion behavior with your uploaded file and current plan. Gyre’s YouTube directory entry describes a built-in converter; StreamNeo says it streams uploaded video without re-encoding. Confirm service settings and plan limits when quality is critical.
- A video is blocked or the channel cannot go live: review YouTube’s policy and copyright notices in the account. Resolve rights or account restrictions before restarting the same material.
Verdict by use case
- Choose StreamNeo first if you want a cloud loop for uploaded video, no computer running at home, one per-slot price across supported quality up to 4K 60fps, and automatic recovery.
- Compare Gyre if YouTube’s directory-listed cloud solution and stated Full HD/4K options suit your needs, after checking current pricing and terms.
- Compare YTStream if playlist ordering, loop counts and transitions are important and its current resolution-based plan pricing works for you.
- Stay with OneStream Live if Enterprise access and a maximum 30-day run fit the broadcast you need.
- Use StreamYard for the shorter prerecorded broadcasts and production workflows its displayed four-hour limit supports, not on the assumption that it provides a continuous 24/7 loop.
- Self-host an encoder if you want to manage the production system and accept responsibility for keeping it operational.
