Where to look first: Buried City
Head to the southern part of Buried City and inspect the cactus patch. PC Gamer calls south Buried City its best cactus-search area, while Dot Esports suggests starting at the far south and sweeping counter-clockwise. As you move, check cacti along the nearby southern and western outskirts, including around houses east of the southern area and the hills east of Hospital. These are reported search areas, not guaranteed coordinates.
PC Gamer describes Dam Battlegrounds as less consistent in its experience, making Buried City the more straightforward first stop when choosing between the two maps. That is a qualitative recommendation, not a measured comparison of spawn rates or yields. PC Gamer’s location guide
Dam Battlegrounds search areas and route
If you want another map to search, Dot Esports names three areas in Dam Battlegrounds. Its suggested sweep connects them in this order:
- Near Red Lakes Hatch: check the cactus clusters around the hatch.
- Raider Outpost East: search north of the Power Generation Complex.
- Victory Ridge: check the house ruins south of the road fork on the map’s northwest side.
From Red Lakes, move toward Raider Outpost East, then follow the outskirts around toward Victory Ridge. The route links reported search areas; it does not establish how long a sweep takes or how many pears it will produce. Dot Esports’ location guide
How to search for the fruit
Inspect the cactus itself rather than relying only on a map marker. GamesRadar+ reports that Prickly Pears can spawn underneath certain cacti in both Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds. - Check beneath cactus plants in the recommended areas.
- If a cactus has no fruit, keep searching nearby plants rather than assuming the whole area is exhausted.
- If a sweep turns up nothing, try other cactus locations or search again in another run.
The available guides do not establish exact current spawn odds, guaranteed coordinates, or an authoritative spawn table. No numeric drop probability is known from these sources.
Check for the Lush Blooms map condition
When Lush Blooms is active, Dot Esports reports that it increases nature loot and adds fruit baskets around the map that can contain fruit and plants. Check the current map-conditions schedule before launching: modifiers and their time windows change, so a static schedule may not apply to your raid.
