There is no evidence-based universal winner among these PS5 racing wheels: official product descriptions identify several GT7 candidates, but do not provide comparable prices or independent performance tests. Before buying, compare feedback mechanism, included pedals and mounting hardware, controls, fit, and the exact PlayStation version offered in your region.
Which wheels are candidates for Gran Turismo 7 on PS5?
PlayStation identifies Gran Turismo 7 as available for PS4 and PS5 and lists several licensed wheel candidates: the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro, Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition and T248, and Logitech G923 and G29. This is a shortlist based on official product information, not a performance ranking. PlayStation’s guide is for its Polish region, while PlayStation Direct’s US racing-wheel category lists the G923 and G29; availability and exact versions can differ by market.
How do their feedback systems differ?
The mechanisms below are product descriptions from PlayStation, not independent measurements of strength, detail, noise, or feel. They help narrow what to investigate, but do not establish that one wheel performs better in GT7.
| Model | Feedback description | Other listed features |
|---|---|---|
| Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro | Direct Drive; maximum torque listed as 5 Nm, with an optional boost kit raising it to 8 Nm | Four directional sticks for Gran Turismo use |
| Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition | Dual-belt force feedback and brushless motor; described by PlayStation as fast, powerful, and smooth | Not stated in the cited product description |
| Thrustmaster T248 | Hybrid force feedback with three adjustable modes | Not stated in the cited product description |
| Logitech G923 | TRUEFORCE | Programmable dual-clutch launch feature, on-wheel controls, and progressive brake resistance |
| Logitech G29 | Driving Force feedback | Pressure-sensitive nonlinear brake pedal and 900-degree rotation |

What comes in the box—and what may cost extra?
Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro
PlayStation describes the plug-and-play bundle as including the wheel, base, pedals, and desk clamp. The page lists maximum torque of 5 Nm; an optional boost kit, sold separately, raises the listed maximum to 8 Nm. Check the current regional package and boost-kit availability before comparing total cost.
Other candidates
The cited descriptions do not establish a comparable, complete list of included pedals, clamps, shifters, or mounting parts for the other models. Confirm the exact contents of the specific listing rather than assuming that a wheel, pedal set, and mount are all included. A separately sold shifter or mounting accessory can change the real setup cost.

- FORCE FEEDBACK: The dual motor force-feedback realistically simulates the feel of tires on a turn, understeer, oversteer, drifting and more
- PREMIUM BUILT: Look, feel and durability of a real race car wheel, pedals and shifter. Wheel cover, knob and boot are covered in high-quality, hand-stitched leather with a solid steel gear shaft and polished metal pedals
How should you choose between the models?
Choose by feedback approach and adjustability
- For Direct Drive: the DD Pro is the clearly identified Direct Drive candidate in this source set. Its listed torque figures and optional boost kit are relevant to the purchase, but do not make it a proven strongest performer.
- For adjustable modes: PlayStation lists three adjustable hybrid feedback modes for the T248.
- For belt-driven feedback: PlayStation describes the T300RS GT Edition as dual-belt with a brushless motor. “Fast, powerful, and smooth” is the product-page description, not an independent durability or performance finding.
- For named control and pedal features: the G923 description highlights TRUEFORCE, launch controls, and progressive brake resistance; the G29 description highlights its nonlinear brake pedal and 900-degree rotation. Confirm which features work with GT7 and the exact PS5 variant you are considering.
Check your mounting space and setup
Measure the available desk or stand area, check how the clamp attaches to your surface, and account for pedal placement and chair movement. If you plan to use a cockpit or stand, verify compatibility with the wheel base and pedals before ordering. The cited guide does not establish fit with a particular desk, stand, or cockpit.
Compare the total configuration, not just the wheel name
Make a list of the wheel, base, pedals, clamp or stand, and any optional accessories you actually need. Compare the full bundle and add-on cost for listings in your region. The available official sources do not establish a comparable current price set, stock status, or value ranking.

What should you verify before placing an order?
- Confirm the platform version: check that the exact product listing says it is the PlayStation-compatible edition, not a version intended for another platform.
- Confirm GT7 support: use current manufacturer support information for the exact wheel and game, especially for model-specific features. A general PlayStation listing alone does not establish how every feature integrates with GT7.
- Read the package contents: verify whether pedals, desk clamp, power supply, or other needed parts are included in that regional bundle.
- Check the mounting method: confirm that the clamp or chosen stand fits your desk or rig and that you have room for the pedals.
- Price the complete setup: include any separately sold boost kit, shifter, stand, or cockpit component you need, and check current availability locally.
Which models need extra compatibility caution?
The Logitech G923 and G29 appear in PlayStation Direct’s US racing-wheel category. Their listing there does not remove the need to verify the exact regional PlayStation version, GT7 feature support, and mounting fit. PlayStation Direct’s category is a US listing, not a guarantee of current availability in other countries.
PlayStation’s guide also describes the Thrustmaster T-GT II as licensed for PS5 and Gran Turismo, but its GT-specific description refers to GT Sport. That wording alone is not sufficient to recommend it for GT7; check the manufacturer’s current support documentation for explicit GT7 compatibility before considering it.
