For keeping prerecorded videos running around the clock, Gyre is the best-supported service in the available evidence: YouTube’s encoder directory describes it as a cloud tool for 24/7 prerecorded streams, and Gyre documents uploading files, arranging a playlist, and scheduling a continuous loop. But that does not establish that Gyre—or Restream—can switch scenes in response to live-chat messages. Choose a tool only after deciding what “live chat scenes” means for your channel.
First, define what “live chat scenes” means
A continuous video loop and a broadcast that reacts to chat are different production jobs. The right service depends on which one you mean:
- A chat overlay: viewers can write in YouTube chat while a video plays, and the scene displays messages. The stream still needs a way to show that overlay.
- An attended live segment: a host or operator periodically switches from prerecorded videos to a live scene. That requires a production setup capable of switching sources.
- A chat-triggered scene: software automatically changes scenes or content when viewers send particular messages. The available service documentation does not establish this capability for Gyre or Restream.
If you need only nonstop prerecorded playout, Gyre has the clearest documented fit. If you need chat-reactive scene logic, confirm that capability directly with any provider before committing; a cloud playlist service is not automatically a live production switcher.

What to verify before you build the channel
Confirm the scene behavior, not just continuous playback
Ask the provider to demonstrate the exact workflow you need: whether chat is merely visible, whether a person can switch to a live-hosted scene, or whether a message can trigger an automatic transition. Ask how the transition works during an ongoing loop and what happens if the operator or trigger integration disconnects. The reviewed service pages do not settle those questions.
Check YouTube channel eligibility and settings
Gyre says its API automation flow requires a verified YouTube channel with live streaming enabled and no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. It also says monetization defaults carry over to API-created streams only when YouTube Studio’s “Apply these settings to streams created on third-party tools” option is enabled. Check these conditions and settings in YouTube Studio before scheduling.

YouTube notes that restrictions can follow policy violations or copyright matches, and a live-stream restriction cannot be bypassed by using another channel. For content marked “made for kids,” live chat and Super Chat are among the features disabled. Review YouTube’s live-streaming restrictions guidance and confirm the audience designation and rights status for the content you plan to air.
Plan for archives and first-time setup
Restream’s help page says first-time YouTube live streaming may require a 24-hour wait after enabling streaming. It also says YouTube archives only streams shorter than 12 hours. For a continuous broadcast, plan how you will preserve any needed recordings rather than assuming one long stream will remain available as an archive.
