The right webinar platform depends on what the event needs to do. For a creator-led broadcast built around polished production, guests, branded registration and a public YouTube audience, StreamYard On-Air is a strong fit. For a business webinar centered on interaction, reporting and managed event controls, Zoom Webinars is worth comparing. Livestorm is another option when browser-based events and connected business workflows matter—but its YouTube restreaming is an add-on. None is a universal winner, and the capabilities described here come from vendor materials rather than hands-on comparative testing.
How to choose a webinar platform for YouTube
Start with the audience experience, not the feature count. A webinar may be a public broadcast that happens to include registration, a private event with attendee interaction, or a business presentation that needs follow-up data. YouTube can be the destination, a secondary destination, or not part of the viewing experience at all.
- Destination and reach: Does the platform host viewers in its own webinar room, send the event to YouTube, multistream to social channels, or support a custom RTMP destination? Check whether YouTube streaming requires an add-on, eligible account, license or configuration.
- Registration and branding: Does it collect attendee information, provide a branded registration page, and let you embed the viewing experience on your own site?
- Interaction: Consider chat, reactions, polls, Q&A and moderation. Confirm where comments appear and who can see them.
- Business follow-through: Check attendance reports, recording access, analytics, and CRM or marketing integrations, including whether they are limited to higher-tier plans.
- Operational fit and cost: Verify viewer caps, host or organizer seats, event length, guest workflow, prerecorded-session support, add-ons and billing terms. Compare the full configuration you need, not just the starting price.
Platform comparison
| Platform | Best fit | YouTube and viewing options | Key qualifications |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamYard On-Air | Creator-led broadcasts with branded production and guest interviews | Vendor-described multistreaming includes YouTube; viewers can watch on an embedded page, and on-demand playback is available. | On-Air is included starting with the Advanced plan; viewer limits vary by plan. The vendor says webinars can use the live studio or a prerecorded source. |
| Zoom Webinars | Business events needing audience interaction and managed production | Zoom Support documents YouTube and custom livestreaming. | Livestreaming requires an eligible account, a Zoom Webinars license and enabled livestreaming configuration. Zoom’s product page describes plans for webinars up to 500 attendees; verify the plan and current capacity. |
| Livestorm | Browser-based events with business integrations | Restreaming to YouTube and other services is presented as an add-on. | Its pricing page lists CRM integrations, several marked Enterprise-only. Verify the exact plan and add-ons needed. |
Which platform fits each kind of event?
StreamYard On-Air: production-led creator webinars
StreamYard On-Air combines a browser-based production studio with webinar registration and branded pages. Its product description includes guest interviews, screen and slide sharing, chat, website embedding, on-demand playback and multistreaming that includes YouTube. The help center says a webinar can use the live studio or a prerecorded source. StreamYard describes its studio as requiring “No downloads required”; that is the vendor’s statement, not an independent usability finding. On-Air starts with the Advanced plan, and the viewer cap depends on the plan, so confirm both before choosing it for a large event.
Zoom Webinars: interaction and event controls
Zoom lists chat, reactions, polls, Q&A, performance reports and recording features for Webinars. Its Webinars Plus description adds prerecorded sessions run as live, backstage coordination, multiple production layouts and richer analytics. Those capabilities can suit a business event where structured interaction and post-event reporting matter as much as the broadcast itself. To livestream to YouTube, Zoom Support says you need an eligible account, a Zoom Webinars license and livestreaming enabled in configuration; having a regular Zoom meeting account alone does not establish that the feature is available.

Livestorm: browser events and connected workflows
Livestorm describes browser-based events and CRM connections. Its pricing page presents restreaming to YouTube and other services as an add-on, and marks some CRM integrations as Enterprise-only. Confirm whether the combination of restreaming, attendee capacity and integrations you need is available on the specific plan. Livestorm’s comparisons of its attendee pricing model with Zoom are vendor-authored, not an independent total-cost analysis.
How the alternatives compare on price and capacity

| Service | Zoom-reported 2025 starting example | Zoom-reported capacity example |
|---|---|---|
| Zoom Webinars | $690/year | Up to 500 attendees |
| Zoom Webinars Plus | $114.99/month | Up to 500 attendees |
| GoTo Webinar | $49/organizer/month, billed annually | Up to 250 participants |
| Webex Webinars | $68.75/user/month | Up to 1,000 attendees |
| Demio | $63/month for one host | Up to 50 attendees |
| Livestorm | $99/month | Up to 100 attendees |
| Crowdcast | $49/month for one host | Up to 100 attendees |
| WebinarJam | $49/month | Up to 100 attendees |
| eWebinar | $99/month for one active webinar | Up to 3,000 attendees/month |
These examples are not directly interchangeable: some are per organizer or user, some specify a host, and eWebinar’s figure is a monthly attendee allowance. The 2025 article is published by Zoom and says its rankings considered “feature sets, pricing, and user feedback”; treat its list as a way to identify candidates, not neutral proof of a platform’s superiority. Zoom’s product descriptions also state an audience limit of up to 500 attendees, while its comparison article’s dated price examples are a separate source and should not be conflated with current plan quotes.
A practical decision checklist
- Write down the viewing journey. Decide whether people should watch on YouTube, in a webinar room, or on an embedded page, and whether you need one destination or several.
- Set a realistic audience target. Check the relevant plan’s viewer or attendee limit, and distinguish a live-event cap from a monthly allowance.
- List must-have interactions. Identify whether you need chat, polls, Q&A, reactions, moderation, or backstage coordination.
- Map registration and follow-up. Confirm what attendee information is collected, whether branding and embedding are available, and whether your CRM or marketing connection is included on the plan.
- Price the complete setup. Add required licenses, restreaming add-ons, host seats and any annual-billing commitment. Recheck current vendor pricing rather than relying on dated comparison figures.
- Validate the event workflow before promoting it. Confirm the YouTube livestream configuration if applicable, and make sure your chosen plan covers the planned format, audience and recording needs.
Where StreamNeo fits—and where it does not
StreamNeo is not a webinar platform: it does not provide webinar registration, attendee interaction or a live camera-based presentation. It serves a different use case—keeping a YouTube channel live around the clock by looping uploaded videos from the cloud. If you want an always-on prerecorded YouTube channel rather than a scheduled webinar, StreamNeo lets you upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key and go live. The computer can be off; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Each slot streams uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; the first day is free with no card. Start the free first day with StreamNeo.
