Bettina is an Epic, fully automatic assault rifle in ARC Raiders that uses Heavy Ammo. The ARC Raiders Wiki lists 16 damage, a 22-round magazine, and a 250 RPM fire rate; its relatively slow firing rate is paired with strong damage and armor penetration. You can find it through scavenging or craft Bettina I after learning its Blueprint.
What kind of weapon is Bettina?
Bettina is an Epic assault rifle with fully automatic fire, strong ARC armor penetration, and slots for a muzzle, underbarrel, and stock mod. Its Heavy Ammo requirement is an important part of the choice: compare your available ammunition and intended target before choosing it over a Medium Ammo rifle.
The ARC Raiders Wiki’s 2026 page revision lists these weapon values. They are listed game data, not results of independent testing, and may change with balance patches.
| Stat | Wiki-listed value |

Is Bettina any good?
Bettina is a strong candidate when you want an automatic rifle with high listed damage and ARC armor penetration, and can support its Heavy Ammo use. Its slower listed firing rate means it is not simply a higher-damage version of every other assault rifle: firing cadence, ammo supply, range, and the target all matter. The community weapon page recommends controlled bursts for assault rifles; the Practice Range is a place to try a configuration before taking it into a raid.

Embark’s view of Bettina’s PvE performance has been notably positive, but that should be read as developer telemetry at the time of the comments, not as a current independent test. GamesRadar reported on January 15, 2026 that design lead Virgil Watkins described its pre-adjustment performance as “the highest PvE damage output of any weapon.” The report also reproduced an Embark patch-note statement that Bettina remained “the highest performing PVE weapon at its rarity (Not counting the Hullcracker).” Those claims establish how Embark characterized its data at that time, not that Bettina is best for every player or encounter.
How Bettina compares with Tempest and Rattler
The ARC Raiders Wiki’s weapon comparison table gives Bettina higher listed damage but a lower fire-rate value and range than the two Medium Ammo rifles below. These figures help frame the trade-off; they do not establish which weapon will perform best for a particular build or fight.
Rank #2
| Weapon | Damage | Fire-rate value | Range | Ammo and firing mode |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bettina | 16 | 28.7 | 52.3 | Heavy Ammo, automatic |
| Tempest | 10 | 36.7 | 55.9 | Medium Ammo, automatic |
| Rattler | 9 | 33.3 | 56.2 | Medium Ammo, automatic |
Use ammo availability and target first when choosing between them, then weigh the listed damage, firing rate, and range. Mod configurations can be changed freely according to the community weapon page, so the Practice Range can help you check how a setup feels.

Why older Bettina stat pages may differ
The wiki’s patch history records several balance changes. Patch 1.26.0 changed damage from 14 to 16 and fire rate from 285 to 235, alongside other adjustments. Patch 1.29.0 later raised base fire rate from 235 to 250. Earlier patch history also records the magazine increasing from 20 to 22 and reload time changing from 5 to 4.5 seconds in patch 1.7.0. These changes explain why older guides may show different numbers; verify the live game values when making a current loadout decision.
