The title “Crimson Moon Awakening” does not match BGMI 3.4.0 in the official BGMI version history: BGMI 3.4.0 was Ocean Odyssey, released on 20 September 2024, while Crimson Moon Awakening was listed with BGMI 3.5.0 on 21 November 2024. The vampire-and-werewolf details often associated with 3.4 come from PUBG MOBILE’s separate 3.4 release notes in Japan, not from the official BGMI 3.4 record.
What BGMI 3.4 actually included
KRAFTON’s BGMI App Store version history identifies version 3.4.0 as Ocean Odyssey, dated 20 September 2024. The listing does not identify Crimson Moon Awakening, a vampire and werewolf mode, or new vehicles as BGMI 3.4 features. It describes BGMI as a free-to-play game. See the official BGMI App Store listing and version history.
When Crimson Moon Awakening appeared in BGMI
The same official version history associates Crimson Moon Awakening with BGMI 3.5.0, dated 21 November 2024. Its 3.5.0 entry also lists Royale Pass A9, Supercars in BGMI, and collaboration items featuring Deepika Padukone and Alan Walker. These details identify the BGMI update; they do not establish that every feature described in another PUBG MOBILE release was present in BGMI.
Why vampire, werewolf and vehicle details get linked to “3.4”
PUBG MOBILE’s Japanese 3.4 notes
KRAFTON Japan’s official patch notes for PUBG MOBILE 3.4.0 describe a vampire- and wolf-themed mode called Bloodmoon Awakening, a Crimson Castle, and a horse as a new vehicle. The notes say the mode ran from after the update on 11 September 2024 through 11 November 2024 at 05:59. Those are details from PUBG MOBILE’s Japanese release notes, not a BGMI 3.4 schedule or feature list. Read the official PUBG MOBILE Japan 3.4.0 patch notes.

A contemporaneous report used a conflicting BGMI version number
A Moneycontrol report published on 19 September 2024 described Crimson Moon Awakening, vampires, werewolves, a boss fight and vehicles as part of a BGMI 3.4 update. That helps explain why the claim circulated, but it conflicts with KRAFTON’s official BGMI version history, which places Ocean Odyssey in 3.4.0 and Crimson Moon Awakening in 3.5.0. Read the Moneycontrol report.
