BGMI 4.2 rolled out in India on January 15, 2026, according to KRAFTON India. Its headline addition was Primewood Genesis, a fantasy-themed mode built around shared World Tree progression, alongside new combat abilities, a ranked-cycle system and in-game collaborations. The Royal Enfield content featuring the Continental GT 650 and Bullet 350 was scheduled to arrive on January 19.
When did BGMI 4.2 launch in India?
KRAFTON India announced BGMI 4.2’s India rollout for January 15, 2026. That date is separate from the international PUBG MOBILE Version 4.2 notice, which said its rollout would begin January 7 and target availability by 11:00 UTC that day; the notice also said the schedule could change. The international schedule is not BGMI’s India release date.
The PUBG MOBILE notice listed Primewood Genesis in its own game from January 6 through March 10, 2026, in UTC+0. Those dates describe the international notice, not confirmed BGMI mode availability. The announcements do not establish whether the mode or its events are available now.
What is Primewood Genesis in BGMI?
Primewood Genesis is a fantasy-themed mode in which matches contribute to a shared World Tree progression system. As players participate, a progression bar unlocks abilities and the battleground changes through the tree’s restoration and growth. KRAFTON India described the mechanic by saying that “every match contributes to the growth and restoration of the World Tree.”
