The advertised $100-off ROG Ally X and $200-off Lenovo Legion Go prices were U.S. Black Friday deals reported in November 2024—not confirmed offers today. The cited coverage marked the Legion Go deal expired, and current prices and stock are not established here. If you are shopping now, check the exact model and configuration on the retailer’s live listing before buying.
What were the Black Friday handheld prices?
These were historical U.S. deal prices, not current price quotes. The sources differ on the Legion Go price because they report different configurations or listings.
| Device and configuration | Reported 2024 price | Retailer and source context |
|---|---|---|
| ROG Ally X, 1TB | $699.99, described as $100 off the then $799.99 price | Best Buy, reported by HotHardware; also listed at Best Buy by Android Authority on November 22, 2024. |
| Lenovo Legion Go, 1TB | $549.99, described as $200 off | Best Buy, reported by HotHardware. |
| Lenovo Legion Go, 512GB | $499.99, described as $200 off | HotHardware reported this configuration at $499.99; Android Authority also reported a Legion Go at $499.99 through Amazon or Best Buy and marked its offers expired. The configuration on that comparison listing is not stated. |
| Original ROG Ally | $499.99, described as $150 off | HotHardware’s 2024 U.S. deal coverage; this is not the ROG Ally X. |
Do not treat a matching price in an old article, search result, or retailer page as proof that the same deal is active. Confirm the retailer, storage capacity, model name, and final checkout price.
Which handheld did the historical deals suit?
ROG Ally X: a smaller screen and upgraded capacity
The 2024 ROG Ally X on offer was the 1TB model, with a 7-inch 1080p display running at 120Hz, an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, and 24GB of RAM, according to HotHardware. Its 7-inch screen is more compact than the Legion Go’s, making it the more natural fit if you favor a smaller handheld display over a larger viewing area.

Legion Go: larger screen and detachable controls
The cited Legion Go coverage describes an 8.8-inch, 2560×1440 display with a 144Hz refresh rate and detachable controllers. That larger screen may suit players who prioritize display size or want the flexibility of detachable controls. The trade-off is a larger handheld format; choose based on how you expect to hold and use it, not just the headline discount.
Do not confuse the 2024 ROG Ally X with the newer ROG Xbox Ally X
The newer ROG Xbox Ally X is a different generation from the 2024 ROG Ally X deal. Microsoft’s product page lists the newer model with an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, 24GB LPDDR5X-8000 memory, a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD, and a 7-inch 1080p 120Hz display. Those specifications do not describe the older discounted model, and the 2024 price should not be used as a price guide for the newer device.

How to check a handheld deal before buying
- Confirm the exact model. Make sure the listing says ROG Ally X, ROG Xbox Ally X, original ROG Ally, or Legion Go as intended. Similar names refer to different devices.
- Match storage and configuration. The historical Legion Go prices varied between 512GB and 1TB listings. Verify the capacity shown on the live product page and in the cart.
- Check the live total and seller. Confirm current availability, seller, shipping, taxes, and return terms directly with the retailer. The 2024 figures above do not establish today’s price or stock.
- Choose for the games and controls you use. Consider display size and refresh rate, handheld comfort, battery needs, operating system, and the game stores or services you rely on. For the newer ROG Xbox Ally X, Microsoft documents supported cross-storefront access and Xbox remote play on its official product page.
- Consider storage expansion only if needed. Microsoft lists microSD cards among ROG Xbox Ally accessories, and the historical Legion Go coverage describes microSD expansion. Check the exact device’s capacity limits and card compatibility before purchasing an accessory.
Where are the Steam Deck Black Friday deals?
The cited 2024 coverage establishes prices for ASUS ROG Ally models and the Lenovo Legion Go; it does not establish a Steam Deck Black Friday price. Check current Steam Deck listings directly rather than assuming these other handheld discounts apply to it.
