Complete the Drunken Boar quest in Chapter 2 to open the secret Kingdom of Sahali and earn the Wind Tamer vessel. Start at Rockrest Flat in Fright Cliff, bring the boar a Sobering Stone, then meet him at Crouching Tiger Temple with a Jade Lotus. The route below follows the Keeper’s Shrines in order and includes the First Prince condition that can prevent the next encounter from appearing.
Start the quest at Rockrest Flat
- Travel to the Rockrest Flat Keeper’s Shrine in Fright Cliff, Chapter 2.
- Walk forward into the large clearing and speak with the drunken boar.
Get a Sobering Stone and give it to the boar
You can obtain the Sobering Stone in Windrest Hamlet or buy one from the Man-in-Stone after completing his quest. These are alternative ways to get the same item; choose based on which route you have already opened.
Find the stone in Windrest Hamlet
- Go to the Windrest Bridge Keeper’s Shrine and cross the bridge.
- Turn left toward the houses, then right into a courtyard.
- Break the golden glowing keg in the house at the left corner to collect the Sobering Stone.
Buy the stone from the Man-in-Stone
After you complete the Man-in-Stone quest, he becomes a vendor and sells a Sobering Stone. This gives you another option if you have finished his quest; the guides do not establish that one route is faster than the other.
Deliver it at Rockrest Flat
Return to the original clearing and give the Sobering Stone to the boar. Keep speaking with him until his dialogue repeats; that signals you have exhausted this part of the conversation.

Bring a Jade Lotus to Crouching Tiger Temple
- Travel to the Temple Entrance Keeper’s Shrine at Crouching Tiger Temple.
- Go up the stairs and take the second path on the right.
- Give the boar one Jade Lotus, then continue talking until his dialogue is exhausted.
The Jade Lotus is a separate item needed for the next conversation, not another way to sober the boar. PowerPyx says a Lotus can be bought from the Keeper’s Shrine; PC Gamer also notes that Lotus plants can be found in the region.
Trigger the Yellow-Robed Squire fight
Return to the clearing at Rockrest Flat where you first met the boar. The Yellow-Robed Squire, his brother, should appear there. If he does not become hostile, defeat the First Prince of Flowing Sands in Sandgate Village’s Valley of Despair, then return to the clearing. PowerPyx identifies that boss as a condition for triggering the encounter.

Enter the Kingdom of Sahali and claim the reward
- Defeat the Yellow-Robed Squire.
- Follow him to the large gate and interact with it to enter the secret area.
- Continue through the area and defeat the secret Tiger Vanguard and Fuban.
Completing the area awards the Wind Tamer vessel, which the guides describe as useful against the Yellow Wind Sage. PowerPyx spells the secret area “Kingdom of Sahi,” while PC Gamer uses “Kingdom of Sahali”; this guide uses “Sahali.”
