Treyarch listed a Weapon XP boost as planned for the following day; the increased Multiplayer and Zombies Weapon XP rates were reported in the October 5 entry.
What the October 3 notes said about TTK
Treyarch said it was monitoring TTK and overall weapon balance using player feedback and in-game data from the beta’s first day. The studio wrote: “While we’re starting the Beta with a TTK in the range of Black Ops 6, we’re aware that some players feel it may be slightly faster than desired.”

Treyarch said a weapon-balance pass was planned for the coming days, with the aim of making beta weapons competitive within their classes and intended roles. That was a statement of intent, not confirmation that a TTK change had shipped on October 3. The notes gave no numeric TTK adjustment for that date. Official Black Ops 7 beta patch notes
What was planned, and what was actually listed for October 3
The October 3 notes listed these items as planned for the next day:

- Blaze a trail as you see fit and discover side quests, solve puzzles, scale enormous structures, go fishing, and encounter a firendly face or two along the way

- Use the all-new battle system and skill tree upgrades, combining moves such as dodges, parries, counters, combos, and the new Cyloop ability to take down mysterious foes
- Become Sonic and journey to uncover the mysteries of the remains of an ancient civilization plagued by robotic hordes
- Increased Weapon XP earn rate.
- Increased Overclock earn rates for several Loadout items and Scorestreaks.
- Spawn-logic adjustments.
- Bug fixes, including weapon fixes.
By contrast, the October 3 Day 2 patch-fix list covered UI problems and server stability issues associated with player loadouts, Tracker, Drone Pod, Pinpoint Grenade, and Skewer. It did not list a completed TTK adjustment or Weapon XP-rate increase.
How the follow-up updates clarified the changes
October 4: weapon-balance preview
Treyarch said the October 4 weapon changes predominantly targeted the Dravec 45 and M8A1, which its TTK data showed performing ahead of the pack and which had high usage. The studio described its aim as keeping weapon TTK in the same range as Black Ops 6, while noting that recoil, movement, engagement distance, and other factors influence measured and perceived TTK. These are Treyarch’s assessments, not independent test results.

October 5: Weapon XP and Overclock earn rates
The October 5 entry reported increased Weapon XP earn rates in both Multiplayer and Zombies. It also recorded increased Overclock earn rates for the Skewer Scorestreak and Drone Pod Field Upgrade. The notes do not give an XP multiplier or a numeric TTK change for the October 3 entry. Read Treyarch’s dated patch-note entries
