Bandai Namco has patched several specific crash scenarios, but those historical fixes do not establish that every current crash has a known cause—or that any one setting change will fix it.
Try these eight troubleshooting steps
Work through these checks in order. The first is supported by the publisher’s update guidance; the remaining steps are low-risk diagnostics, not guaranteed cures.

Install the latest update
Bandai Namco’s official update page lists Version 1.43 dated December 18, 2025, and instructs players to apply the latest update file. In Steam, let any pending download finish and check the game’s installed version against the latest release shown there. The dated page entry does not establish which build is installed on your PC or whether a newer update has appeared since.

Restart Steam and your PC, then reproduce the issue once
Close the game and Steam, restart the PC, reopen Steam, and try the same action that caused the crash. This is a basic reset and diagnostic check; Bandai Namco has not identified it as a confirmed fix. Reproducing the same trigger makes it easier to tell whether anything changed.

Check the minimum requirements and available storage
Steam lists Windows 10 or 11, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, and 75 GB of storage in the minimum requirements. Compare your PC with the Steam listing, and make sure the drive has room for the game and its updates. Meeting the minimum line is not a promise of crash-free play.

Compare your install drive with the recommended storage setup
Steam’s recommended requirements specify an SSD. If the game is installed on a hard drive, note that difference when troubleshooting; moving it to an SSD may be relevant to loading behavior, but the available information does not establish an SSD as a universal fix for crashes.

Test another in-game graphics mode
Steam describes Performance, Balanced, and Quality graphics modes with different target outputs and hardware expectations. If the game stays open long enough, switch to a different mode and see whether the same scene or action still causes the failure. Record the mode you tested; no mode is documented as a guaranteed crash remedy.

If fullscreen Alt+Tab triggers it, try a windowed mode
If the failure happens when you use Alt+Tab while playing fullscreen, test windowed or borderless play and note whether the symptom changes. Bandai Namco’s Version 1.03 notes say a crash when switching a fullscreen application to inactive with Alt+Tab was fixed. That is a historical fix, not proof that the same defect remains in an updated installation.

Record the exact trigger and what “crash” means
Write down the game mode, scene, action immediately before failure, graphics mode, window mode, and whether you were online or offline. Distinguish among these outcomes:
- Game crash or hang: the game closes or stops responding, while Windows remains usable.
- Whole-PC freeze: Windows and other applications stop responding.
- Blue-screen restart: Windows displays a stop error and restarts.
These are different symptoms. A precise description is more useful to support than saying only that the game crashed.

Send a complete report to Bandai Namco support
If the problem persists, use Bandai Namco support and include the information the publisher requests:
- GPU and CPU models, and your Windows version
- Graphics mode and window mode
- Game language and regional settings or language
- The steps that led to the failure, plus details about whether it was a game hang, PC freeze, or blue-screen restart
- The named game crash dump, if one was generated
Bandai Namco’s Steam announcement warns players not to post crash dump files publicly; send one through the support route instead.

Which crash situations has Bandai Namco addressed?
Publisher notes document several specific PC crash or stability fixes. They help identify whether your symptom resembles a known historical issue, but they do not show that the issue still affects a current, updated copy.

Bandai Namco’s Version 1.05 notice said, “We have confirmed that some issues have been resolved by this update,” and invited players to report continued problems. The official update page lists later releases, including Version 1.43 dated December 18, 2025; the historical Version 1.03 and 1.05 notes do not identify the cause of an individual player’s current crash.
