Where to find Idolator Sol
Play through the main campaign mission “Rush the Gate.” The encounter concludes the Fadefields story arc, at the end of Fortress Indomita in The Fadefields. You must progress through the mission to reach the fight. Epic Games Store’s campaign boss guide and Mobalytics’ guide identify the location and campaign requirement.

How to beat Idolator Sol
Break his invulnerability with a Locust Canister
During Sol’s Locust Rod attack, watch where the rods land and look for the green Locust Canister. Pick it up and throw it at Sol. This removes his invulnerability for a short time, giving you a damage window. Save your strongest attacks for when he is exposed rather than firing into his immunity.
Kill summoned guards before Sol can recover health
Sol summons guards that shoot at you. Deal with them quickly: he can latch onto and consume them after a short while to restore health. Leaving them alive can undo damage you have already dealt to the boss.

Use the safe areas during corrupted-energy attacks
Later in the fight, corrupted energy covers parts of the arena. Move into the safe zones while continuing to watch for guards and opportunities to use a canister. Avoid standing in danger zones just to maintain damage on Sol.
Adapt to the changing fight
Mobalytics describes the encounter as having three phases, with abilities changing or strengthening as health bars are depleted. Its guide also points to Sol’s body boils as weak spots, recommends dodging the landing Locust Rods, moving out of danger zones, and side-dashing against projectiles. Treat those as useful combat cues; the most reliable core priorities are still the canister, guards, and safe zones.
Idolator Sol’s legendary drops
Mobalytics and TheGameSlayer list the same seven possible dedicated legendary rewards. These are possibilities, not guaranteed drops. The effects below are guide-reported descriptions, not independent tests.

| Item | Type or character | Reported effect |
|---|---|---|
| Onslaught | SMG | Mobalytics describes a 30% chance per bullet to deal extra damage without consuming ammo. This is the weapon effect, not the chance Sol will drop it. |
| Goremaster | Shotgun | Deals increased damage to enemies below 30% health. |
| Golden God | Shotgun | When overheating, the Bulletforge continues consuming ammunition instead of breaking. |
| Dancer | Rafa Exo-Soldier class mod | Increases the Overdrive bonus; the source describes the bonus ending when the Action Skill ends. |
| Technomancer | Vex Siren class mod | Adds Ordnance damage to Eldritch Blast; kills or grenades can reset its cooldown. |
| Furnace | Amon Forgeknight class mod | Converts damage from named skills to Incendiary damage. |
| Bio-Robot | Harlowe Gravitar class mod | Entanglement creates alternating Cryo and Radiation hazards. |
Which drop fits your build?
Start by separating the three weapons—Onslaught, Goremaster, and Golden God—from the four character-specific class mods. The class mods are associated with Rafa, Vex, Amon, and Harlowe respectively, so their relevance depends on your character and build. No reviewed guide establishes one of these items as the best choice for every player.
Can you farm Idolator Sol?
A Steam Community announcement for September 17–24, 2025 included Idolator Sol in a Weekly Big Encore Boss lineup. It said that after finishing the campaign, players could find the weekly boss and mission in the Map tab of the ECHO menu. That dated lineup does not establish the current rotation; check the in-game activity before planning a farm around Sol’s availability.
The guides list possible rewards but do not provide verified numeric drop rates for individual items. Do not treat any particular legendary as guaranteed or assume a specific farming probability.
