What Kill Spring does
Kill Spring is a sustain tool, not a direct damage upgrade. Guide descriptions say Blood Siphon converts excess damage on a kill into healing orbs that seek nearby allies. That makes the effect most relevant when you can secure frequent kills and deal overkill damage; a slow encounter with few adds offers fewer chances to trigger it. Where to farm Kill Spring
Reach Axemaul
Both guides name Axemaul, the boss at the end of The Toil of Spoiling Vis mine in Carcadia/Dominion, as the source. PC Gamer places the mine near The Lockaway safehouse and says you must progress into Dominion and complete Shadow of the Mountain to reach the abandoned Auger mines.

What the drop odds do—and do not—tell you
Gearbox’s March 2026 update says dedicated-item reward chances were standardized across base-game bosses, Invincibles, and Bounty Packs. It does not publish a Kill Spring percentage or an Axemaul-specific probability, so there is no supported numerical chance to quote and no guarantee that a run will produce the Repkit. The update is in the official Borderlands 4 news and patch notes.

Which builds pair well with Kill Spring?
Fast-kill mobbing builds
Frequent kills create more opportunities for Blood Siphon to produce orbs. Burst damage, overkill, and weapons or ordnance that help finish groups quickly are sensible pairing concepts, not tested or officially validated combinations.
Co-op teams
Because the orbs are described as seeking nearby allies, the effect can contribute team sustain as well as self-healing. Its value will still depend on the group securing kills and on allies being nearby when orbs appear.

Health-fullness-related bonuses

When another Repkit may suit you better
Kill Spring is a weaker fit for boss-only play or any build that rarely gets kills or overkill damage. The available sources do not establish a directly comparable rival Repkit or a universal best-in-slot choice; compare the sustain it offers against the offensive or utility effect your build needs.

How to judge a drop for your character
- Confirm the item card’s current values and effects in your game rather than relying on an assumed roll range.
- Consider how often your build secures kills and produces overkill in the content you play.
- For co-op, consider whether allies are commonly close enough to benefit from seeking orbs.
- Use the Repkit if its sustain helps your build stay effective; the guides do not identify one universally optimal roll or pairing.
