These details answer the practical questions: what does the item do, where does it drop, and what must be unlocked first?

Keep dedicated drops separate from general loot routes and rotating or variable vendor stock. A named boss or mission is a more specific farming lead than a broad source such as fishing or Maurice’s Black Market. None of the cited material establishes a dependable drop probability, so a source listing is not a promise that an item will drop on a particular attempt.

A 2025 Patch Crazy guide lists Lead Balloon as tied to Splashzone in Fadefields. That makes Splashzone a useful starting point for a search, not a guarantee of a current drop: the listing is an older guide lead, and the supplied source information does not establish the item’s effect, drop probability, or whether its source has changed since publication. Check the guide’s unlock conditions before traveling, then confirm the entry against the version you are playing.

Check unlocks before traveling
Location alone may not be enough to reach a source. The cited guide examples include story-mission and Vault Key Fragment prerequisites. Before setting out, confirm that the relevant mission, region, boss, or activity is available to your character. If an entry has a prerequisite, complete it first rather than treating the listed location as immediately accessible.
Why older lists can be incomplete
The count depends on what a guide includes. Gamer Guides’ hub, reported as last updated September 25, 2026, states that it covers 98 Legendary Weapons. That is the hub’s weapons count, not a verified count of every Legendary item. GamingPromax’s guide, updated in March 2026, claims “over 135 legendary weapons and items,” a broader category count from a different third-party guide. The figures have different scopes and should not be combined into a definitive total.

Official updates also make a fixed launch-era list unreliable as a current inventory. January 2026 notes describe repeatable missions with guaranteed Legendary rewards; February 2026 notes add Legendary gear and a Pearlescent system; and April 2026 version 1.6 notes describe additional gear and text adjustments. An indexed excerpt from an official update dated July 30, 2026 says six Legendary gear pieces were added and Pearlescent drop sources changed. Taken together, these updates mean both catalog entries and acquisition instructions can age.
How to use a Legendary guide while farming
- Identify the exact item. Match its name and gear type, then read the listed effect rather than assuming that another item in the same category behaves similarly.
- Check the source and region. Prefer an item-specific boss or mission entry over a general loot route, and distinguish a dedicated source from vendor stock or other broad acquisition methods.
- Meet prerequisites first. Look for story-mission, Vault Key Fragment, or other unlock requirements before traveling.
- Confirm repeatability and reward type. A guaranteed mission reward that can be repeated is different from an ordinary dedicated drop. Confirm the current mission behavior before planning repeated runs.
- Recheck after updates. Use current-version information for the item, its effect, and its source. Do not infer a drop rate from a guide that names a location but gives no probability.
