The boss encounter is tied to Beth’s side-mission chain, “One Gassy Issue” and “One Slimy Issue.” Truck and Bugbear are reported possible drops, but no confirmed boss-specific drop rates or official item-by-item loot table are available in the cited sources.
Where to find the Bio Armored Omega Thresher
The Omega 86D challenge target is the Bio Armored Omega Thresher in Fades District, Dominion. Epic’s Ultimate Vault Hunter guide lists the kill among UVH Rank 2 requirements. Shacknews also identifies the location and specifies that the kill must be made in UVH 1.

The encounter is associated with Beth’s “One Gassy Issue” and “One Slimy Issue” side-mission chain. Follow Beth’s missions in Fades District; one guide places Beth in Lakeside Properties. Guides differ slightly on which mission contains the final fight, so follow the active quest objectives and check the current Omega 86’d challenge text in-game.
How to make the kill count
- Activate UVH 1 before starting the boss encounter. The challenge’s progression condition is a kill in UVH 1; defeating the Thresher at a different difficulty may not count.
- Complete Beth’s side-mission chain in Fades District, following “One Gassy Issue” and “One Slimy Issue” as they appear in your mission log.
- Defeat the Bio Armored Omega Thresher at the location specified by the quest and challenge.
- Verify completion: open Missions → Challenges → Ultimate Vault Hunter and check that Omega 86’d registered. This is a practical check if progression does not appear immediately.
Omega 86’d is one of the UVH Rank 2 challenges, alongside Bio Break, No Points Awarded, and Song’s Over. Completing the required challenge kills alone does not unlock Rank 2: you also need the Rush the Gate Wildcard mission. See Shacknews’ Omega 86’d challenge guide for its mission-chain and UVH 1 details.

Reported Omega Thresher drops
NerdsChalk reports two possible legendary drops from the Bio Armored Omega Thresher:
- Truck — a Jakobs legendary sniper rifle.
- Bugbear — a Torgue legendary assault rifle.
These are reported possibilities, not guaranteed drops or confirmed exclusive items. The available information does not establish boss-specific odds, so there is no reliable percentage to quote. Gearbox’s March 5, 2026 patch notes describe system-wide dedicated-item reward changes, not a drop rate for this Thresher.

Match damage to the active health bar
NerdsChalk recommends Cryo and Corrosive against armor, and Fire against flesh. Treat this as general reported advice rather than a confirmed boss-specific phase chart: watch the active health-bar type and respond to the mission prompts instead of assuming a fixed sequence.

Choose a difficulty you can clear efficiently
Epic’s UVH guide describes UVH Rank 1 as increasing enemy health by 150% and damage taken by 12%, while raising cash and Eridium by 20% each and XP by 10%. The guide’s publication date is not displayed, so check the live game for current modifier values. Epic also notes that UVH increases the importance of elemental affinities and loot rarity; subsequent ranks increase modifiers.

Gearbox’s January 29, 2026 update notes say UVH levels increase dedicated loot drop levels, with higher levels raising the chance of dedicated loot dropping. Gearbox later said its March 5 update standardized dedicated-item reward chances across base-game bosses, Bounty Packs, and Invincible encounters, and adjusted Pearlescent scaling at higher UVH levels. Those notes do not show that slower clears at a higher rank always produce more loot per minute. For farming, use the highest UVH level you can defeat consistently without sacrificing too much kill speed.
