Brick My World is a real iPhone and iPad app, but it does not build any LEGO model automatically. It converts scans of table-sized objects or imported 3D files into draft brick-based models, then offers digital instructions, a parts list and an editable LDraw file for a fee. You still need to check the design, source the bricks and decide whether the result is good enough to build.
What Brick My World actually does
Brick My World, from CJStuds, Inc., is an AI-assisted scanning and design app for turning physical objects or 3D files into brick-based models. The company describes its process as using 3D scanning, photogrammetry and AI. That is the company’s description of its technology, not an independent assessment of how accurately it works. The app is not an official LEGO product, and its output should not be mistaken for an official LEGO set. The company’s product page describes models made with classic rectangular bricks.
The 2024 headline that users can build “any LEGO model” overstates the practical promise. The app is designed to generate a new brick interpretation of an object or 3D model; the available product information does not establish that it can reproduce every existing LEGO set, process every object successfully, or guarantee a structurally sound result.
What you can scan or import
The company says the app can scan table-sized objects and import 3D models in .obj, .usdz and .gltf formats. It also offers example models. Small toys, household objects, sculptures, animals and vehicles may be candidates, but the listed input options do not establish that every subject will scan equally well. A pet that keeps moving, for example, presents a different challenge from a stationary toy.

A scan can produce a recognizable brick interpretation without preserving every contour, color boundary or fine detail. Transparent or reflective surfaces, thin parts, visual clutter, occlusion and insufficient camera coverage can all make reconstruction harder. The company says users can review and adjust a generated model, so the initial conversion should be treated as a draft rather than a finished build.
How the workflow works
- Install and open the app. The current Apple listing requires iOS or iPadOS 17.6 or later.
- Scan or import. Scan a table-sized object in the app, import a supported 3D file, or try an example model.
- Generate a brick model. The company describes controls for scale, detail and color, though a larger or more detailed design may require more parts.
- Review and edit. The App Store version history lists a lightweight editor with options to recolor individual bricks or all bricks of one color, add bricks and remove bricks. Features can change between app versions.
- Choose digital output. The available options are PDF building instructions, a brick list, an LDraw
.ldrfile, or a bundle of these files. - Check the design and source the parts. Brick My World says it can create a BrickOwl wishlist from the parts list. You remain responsible for availability, substitutions, condition, shipping and the finished model’s build quality.
The company says the LDraw file can be edited in BrickLink Studio. That can be useful if you want to correct geometry, replace hard-to-find parts or make structural changes before sourcing bricks.

What the “any LEGO model” promise gets wrong

Brick geometry also imposes limits. Curves, delicate features and unusual shapes may need simplification, and a visually convincing model is not necessarily stable or practical to assemble. Inspect connections and unsupported overhangs before treating instructions as a reliable build plan.

Availability and device support
As of the August 18, 2026 check reflected in the available listing, Brick My World was listed on the US Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad, with iOS/iPadOS 17.6 or later required. The listing also names Apple-silicon Mac and Apple Vision compatibility, though the product is primarily presented as an iOS/iPadOS experience. It lists English and Czech and an app size of 66.2 MB. The company’s website says Android is coming soon; that is not confirmation that an Android app is currently available. Check the current store listing for your device before planning a project around the app.
What it costs—and what the price does not include
The company website advertises free scanning, importing and previewing, followed by one-time charges for digital outputs. Its listed prices are shown below. The lower figures are advertised first-purchase prices; they should not be read as recurring prices for every later export.

The company says it has no subscription and charges for the output selected. The US App Store lists several in-app purchase tiers for the same output types: $4.99, $9.99 and $11.99 for PDF instructions plus a brick list; $3.99, $8.99 and $10.99 for an LDraw file; and $5.99, $13.99 and $16.99 for All-in-One. Because the website and store show multiple price points, confirm the price displayed for your purchase and storefront rather than assuming one amount applies everywhere. These figures are not a worldwide price guarantee.

A December 2024 article described a planned February 2025 launch and a $199 annual subscription. Those were launch-era claims, not a reliable guide to the current product: the app is now listed in Apple’s store, and the company website advertises free previews and one-time output purchases.

- Check whether it is recognizable at the chosen scale. A small model may lose subtle shapes and color transitions; a larger or more detailed version may require more bricks.
- Inspect the structure. Look for unsupported overhangs, disconnected sections and geometry that cannot be assembled as shown. Visual resemblance alone does not prove a model will hold together.
- Review the parts list and colors. Check for pieces that may be difficult to obtain in the specified color, and consider substitutions before ordering.
- Estimate the whole project. Include output fees and parts, delivery and any seller minimums—not just the app’s digital price.
- Edit before committing to a large order. If you use the LDraw output, BrickLink Studio is one route for manual corrections and part changes.
If the scan does not recognize the object
Try a stationary, simpler subject in even lighting, clear clutter from the background and improve camera coverage by moving slowly around the object. If the scan remains poor, use an imported supported 3D file instead. The App Store version history notes refinements to scanning guidance and object detection, so instructions may differ between app versions.
If the model is too expensive or loses important detail
Consider reducing scale or detail, using colors and parts from your existing collection, or building only the most recognizable section. An LDraw export can provide a route to manual edits before you purchase pieces. A smaller or edited model is a trade-off: it may be easier to source, but it may no longer match the original object as closely.

- A reasonable fit: MOC builders who enjoy experimenting, people who want a brick keepsake of an object, and designers comfortable reviewing or editing a generated model. A large existing brick collection can make substitutions easier.
- Less suitable: anyone expecting a complete physical kit, guaranteed structural integrity, exact reproduction of a set, or a polished build without review and parts sourcing.
- Not a current fit based on the listed platforms: Android users who need an app today, or people without an Apple device that meets the stated system requirement.
- For families and educators: it may offer a creative scan-to-design activity, but check the privacy terms before uploading images of children, private spaces or other sensitive subjects.
Alternatives serve different jobs

These are complementary options rather than interchangeable competitors: LEGO Builder helps with official sets, Studio gives builders manual design control, and BrickOwl can help source pieces. Brick My World’s stated role is to generate a draft design from a scan or 3D file.
Privacy questions to check before uploading
Apple’s US App Store privacy disclosure says the developer may collect or associate contact information, identifiers, usage data, product interaction and advertising data; it also says practices may vary depending on features used. That disclosure alone does not answer whether scans are processed on-device or in the cloud, how long uploads are retained, whether uploaded files are used for training, or how a user can request deletion. Read the current privacy policy and app permissions before uploading a scan of a person, home, child or proprietary design. The listing’s privacy section is a starting point, not a substitute for those specific answers.
