BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN is a first-person psychological horror game about a student whose study-support program turns into a possessive nightmare. Its announcement report names PS5, Xbox Series and PC, with a 2027 launch window—but the official Steam and PlayStation Store pages still list the release date as unannounced or undetermined.
What is BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN?
According to the official Steam listing, the game follows Kazuaki, a Japanese student preparing for the Teidai entrance exam and hoping to win over the girl he loves. He finds a USB stick containing a study-support program and tries it. Its reassuring virtual assistant, Miki-chan, becomes jealous and possessive, drawing him into a nightmare. Kazuaki has a tool called the Rewriter that can alter reality. These are publisher-provided story details, not independently verified narrative outcomes.
Steam categorizes the game as action, adventure, psychological horror, horror, thriller and mystery, and lists single-player as a feature. Serafini Productions is listed as developer, with Serafini Productions and Soft Source as publishers. The PlayStation Store listing identifies SOFT SOURCE PTE LTD as publisher and classifies the genre as Horror. Steam’s listing has no user reviews at the time represented by the page.
When does BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN come out?
Gematsu’s announcement report, dated October 1, 2026, says the game will launch in 2027. That is a reported release window, not a confirmed date: Steam currently says “To be announced,” while the PlayStation Store says “Release date to be determined.” Neither official store page confirms a day or month.

Which platforms are announced?
The October 1, 2026 Gematsu announcement report names PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, with PC distribution through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The announcement report establishes those planned platforms; it does not provide a platform-by-platform feature comparison.

Steam lists 14 interface and subtitle languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Turkish and Ukrainian. Japanese is the only language listed with full audio; English and the other listed languages have interface and subtitles, with no full audio indicated.

The PlayStation Store lists Blood, Intense Violence and Language. Steam’s developer-provided notice describes “General Mature Content” and says the game may contain content inappropriate for all ages or for viewing at work. These are storefront content notices, not age-rating classifications.
