Black Ops 7 Zombies weapon camouflage progression has three stages: nine sequential Military camos, three weapon-specific Special Camo challenges, and four Zombies Mastery camos. The current Season 6 list ends its Military ladder at 1,000 qualifying kills and requires Doomsteel on 30 weapons to unlock the final Mastery camo, Infestation.
How Zombies camo progression works
Each weapon progresses independently. Military camos must be earned in order. After all nine are complete, that weapon’s three Special Camo challenges unlock; those three can be completed in any order. Completing all 12 challenges opens the Mastery stage.
- Camos are unlocked per weapon, not account-wide.
- Unlocked weapon camos can be equipped on that weapon in any game mode.
- Qualifying actions vary by weapon class, so do not assume every gun uses Critical Kills.
All nine Zombies Military camos
The Season 6 Zombies list uses the following thresholds. For most weapons, “qualifying kills” means Critical Kills. Shotguns use Point Blank Kills, while launchers and melee weapons use eliminations. Check the challenge text for unusual or newly added weapons.

Special Camo challenges
Special Camos are not one universal checklist. Every weapon has three challenges with criteria tailored to that weapon, and they become available only after its nine Military camos are finished. They can then be completed in any order.

M15 Mod 0 examples
The Season 6 weapon list gives these M15 Mod 0 requirements:
- Mutilate: 300 Hipfire Kills.
- Slither: Get three Critical Kills consecutively, five times.
- Pathfinder: Get 300 kills with Fire Works activations.
These are M15 Mod 0 requirements only. Use the weapon’s in-game camo tracker for the exact Special challenges on every other weapon, particularly after balance updates or new seasonal additions.

Zombies Mastery camos
After completing a weapon’s nine Military and three Special challenges, complete these four Mastery tiers:

How Infestation works
Infestation is the final Zombies Mastery reward. It is not a separate challenge on one weapon: earn Doomsteel on 30 weapons, with each weapon reaching that preceding Mastery tier.

Season 6 and event camos
Season 6, The Haunting, launched on September 17, 2026, at 9 a.m. PT with new Zombies content, including an expanded Rogue Run and a new Survival map. Its weekly, BlackCell, and other event rewards are separate seasonal paths. They do not add extra steps to the per-weapon Military–Special–Mastery sequence.

- Open the Zombies loadout and select the weapon.
- Open the weapon’s Camos or Customize panel.
- Read the currently locked Military, Special, or Mastery challenge text.
- Use Activision’s free Black Ops 7 Weapon Matrix Guide as a second check; Activision says those guides are updated throughout live seasons.
The in-game tracker is the final authority for a particular weapon. Exact Special requirements can differ by weapon, and live-season updates can change challenge details.

Quick checklist
- Finish Char through Emerald Snake in sequence.
- Use Critical Kills only where the weapon’s class calls for them.
- For shotguns, farm Point Blank Kills; for launchers and melee weapons, count eliminations.
- Complete all three weapon-specific Special challenges in any order.
- Complete Golden Dragon, Bloodstone, and Doomsteel.
- Repeat Doomsteel progress on 30 weapons for Infestation.
- Keep event and weekly camos separate from this per-weapon progression.
