Threat indicators do not show the whole danger
Hajin’s threat levels indicate the expected response from AI enemies at a point of interest: a more dangerous area can mean more numerous or more capable enemies. But the meter does not account for rival human Operators, so a low AI threat reading is not a guarantee of safety from PvP encounters.
Some objectives can expose your position
Picking up a Lieutenant’s Dog Tag Case broadcasts the player’s position on the Tac-Map. The HUD also tracks hostile kills; filling that counter dispatches a Hunt Squad and marks the player for death, according to Activision’s guide.

How do the FOB and progression work?
The Forward Operating Base (FOB) is the between-deployment hub for managing Operators, preparing gear, reviewing DMZ Orders and planning the next operation. Activision describes more than a dozen stations that become available as players complete Hajin Operations. The mode has its own progression track through level 70.
- Stash and Loadout: Manage weapons and gear, along with ingredients used for crafting.
- 3D Printer: Craft gear and upgrade FOB stations.
- Gunsmith: Spend DMZ Cash on attachments and build weapons using unlocked attachments and extracted Weapon Manuals.
- Other FOB facilities: The guide also identifies Operator management, DMZ Orders, a firing range, survival kits, vendors and progression facilities.

What should players watch on the HUD and Tac-Map?
The HUD shows the Tac-Map, objectives, threat level, hostile kill count, squad status, carried DMZ Cash, equipment capacity and backpack. The Tac-Map marks mission objectives, points of interest, threat areas, enemy compounds, caches, radiation, the player’s position and nearby enemies. These indicators help players plan, but the threat rating concerns AI response rather than all possible PvP risk.
How do DMZ vehicles differ from Warzone vehicles?
DMZ vehicles operate across land, sea and air, but have finite armor and fuel. Activision says they must be repaired and refueled at gas stations. Do not assume the same vehicle rules apply in Warzone: the guide specifically distinguishes Warzone vehicles as not requiring those tasks.

Is DMZ standalone, and is a PvE-only option confirmed?
