Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is no longer playable. Activision took the game’s servers offline on April 17, 2026. That closure followed an earlier end to seasonal content, gameplay updates, social features and real-money purchases; the 2025 changes did not themselves mark the server shutdown.
When did Warzone Mobile shut down?
Activision says the servers went offline on April 17, 2026, after which the game was no longer available to play. The game had already been removed from Google Play and Apple’s App Store in May 2025, but the server closure came later. Activision’s service-change FAQ, dated February 16, 2026, documents the status and player account consequences.
What happened before the servers closed?
Activision had stopped new seasonal content and gameplay updates, discontinued social features, and ended in-app purchases using real money before taking the servers offline. The last date to make a real-money purchase was May 19, 2025. Players who still had the game installed could redeem remaining COD Points in its store and use previously purchased content until the servers closed on April 17, 2026.
What happened to accounts, COD Points and purchases?
- Guest accounts: Guest accounts used to play Warzone Mobile are no longer accessible after the shutdown.
- Activision accounts: These remain accessible outside Warzone Mobile through Activision websites and other titles that require an account.
- Unused COD Points: Any points left when the servers went offline are inaccessible. Activision says refunds are unavailable for unused COD Points.
- Previously purchased content: It could be used in the game through April 17, 2026. Activision says refunds are unavailable for previously purchased in-game content.
Activision’s FAQ does not establish whether any Warzone Mobile progress, points or entitlements transfer to another Call of Duty game, so players should not assume they carry over.

Can you reinstall Warzone Mobile to check progress or purchases?
No. Activision says the game was removed from Google Play and Apple’s App Store in May 2025, and players cannot reinstall it through those stores to check progression or purchases. With the servers offline, the game is no longer playable.
Why did Activision take the game offline?
Activision says Warzone Mobile did not meet its expectations with mobile-first players. In its FAQ, the publisher said it was proud to bring Warzone to mobile in an authentic way, but that it “unfortunately did not meet our expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences.” This is Activision’s stated rationale; the FAQ does not provide a separate performance statistic or establish another cause.

What can Warzone Mobile players play instead?
Activision points mobile players to free-to-play Call of Duty: Mobile, which it says offers Battle Royale, Multiplayer, Zombies and DMZ: Recon, along with seasonal content. It also identifies Call of Duty: Warzone as free to play on PC and console. These are separate games; Activision’s FAQ does not say Warzone Mobile progress or purchases transfer to either one.
