It says a playlist determines what a stream plays and in what order, then starts again from the first file when the last one ends. The official materials reviewed do not document a shuffle setting, so whether Gyre’s current interface has one remains unconfirmed. Gyre’s September 2026 article describes the documented behavior.
What Gyre’s playlist does
Gyre lets you put multiple videos into a playlist for a YouTube livestream. Its published description specifies an order for those videos and says playback returns to the first file after the last one ends. The playlist therefore loops in its arranged sequence; that description does not say Gyre shuffles the files.
Gyre’s homepage also describes choosing videos, arranging them into a looping playlist, and letting the playlist restart. Its official article says a playlist can be changed while a stream is running, but does not describe a random-order control.
Does Gyre have a shuffle setting?
The official public materials reviewed explain playlist creation, ordering, and looping, but do not mention shuffle. That omission does not prove the current app lacks a toggle: the playlist tutorial linked from Gyre’s help center could not be verified, and the current interface was not confirmed. If shuffle is essential, check the playlist controls in your account or ask Gyre support before relying on it.

Gyre’s help-center listing says the playlist option is available on Start+ and Pro+ plans. Plan names and availability can change, so check the current help center or account plan details for confirmation.
Why YouTube’s shuffle controls are different
YouTube’s playlist features apply to playback in YouTube, such as watching a playlist on a page. They do not establish that Gyre will reorder the videos feeding its cloud livestream. Likewise, a browser extension that shuffles videos in the YouTube player would affect that viewing workflow, not prove that Gyre’s stream playlist plays randomly.

If your goal is a livestream with several videos, Gyre’s documented option is to arrange them in the sequence you want and let the playlist repeat. If you need a new random sequence each time, published documentation does not confirm that Gyre can do it; verify the app’s current controls or ask support.
