Yes—an attacker can potentially cause your Roblox account to be suspended or terminated, but they normally cannot directly press a button to ban it. If someone takes over your account and sends prohibited messages, uploads banned content, cheats, scams users, or performs other rule-breaking activity, Roblox may apply moderation to the account. Roblox says enforcement can involve automated systems, human review, or both. (Roblox Content Moderation)
That is different from being banned from one Roblox experience. A game creator can block you from their own experience, but that does not automatically mean your entire Roblox account has been banned.
How a hacker can get an account moderated
A hacker usually cannot issue a platform-wide Roblox ban themselves. Their access can nevertheless create activity that Roblox attributes to the compromised account. Possible examples include:

- Uploading prohibited images, clothing, audio, decals, or other content.
- Cheating, exploiting, or using a modified Roblox client.
- Attempting unauthorized access to other accounts.
- Scamming users or misusing Robux, items, or payment systems.
- Using automation or scripts to disrupt experiences.
- Trying to evade an earlier moderation action.
These actions do not automatically guarantee a permanent ban, but they can lead to warnings, temporary restrictions, suspensions, or account termination. Roblox specifically warns that cheating and exploiting can result in account deletion, while modified apps and unauthorized software can lead to suspension or banning. Roblox’s Terms of Use recognize compromised accounts, but they also reserve the right to enforce their rules against activity performed through an account. A hack is therefore useful evidence in an appeal—not an automatic guarantee that the moderation action will be removed. (Roblox Terms of Use)
Roblox account ban vs. game ban

Roblox provides creators with tools and APIs to ban players from individual experiences. That is not the same as a Roblox-wide account termination. (Roblox Creator Hub bans documentation)
A false report or harassment campaign may cause concern, but a report alone does not prove that a ban will occur. Roblox’s Community Standards also prohibit false reporting, unauthorized access, enforcement evasion, and attempts to use unauthorized services to kick or ban users. (Roblox Community Standards)

What to do if your hacked account is banned
Act quickly, and handle the security problem before arguing about the moderation decision.
- Clean the device. Remove suspicious browser extensions, unofficial Roblox downloads, exploit tools, and other untrusted software. Run a full antivirus or malware scan. Roblox advises doing this before recovering a hacked account; otherwise an attacker may simply steal the new login again. (Roblox hacked-account guidance)
- Secure the email account attached to Roblox. Change its password, enable multifactor authentication, and check for unfamiliar forwarding rules or recovery changes.
- Recover Roblox. Reset the Roblox password to a unique password. Confirm the email address and phone number, enable 2-Step Verification, and use a passkey if it is available for your account and device. (Roblox safety tools)
- Check for unauthorized activity. Record unfamiliar messages, uploads, trades, purchases, profile changes, security notifications, and password or email changes.
- Save the moderation notice. Keep a screenshot or copy of the stated reason, date, duration, and whether the action is an account or experience ban.
- Contact Roblox Support promptly. Roblox says hacked-account assistance should generally be requested within 30 days of the compromise.
- Submit the moderation appeal named in the notice. Roblox’s general appeal guidance says appeals generally must be submitted within 30 days of the moderation action. EU users may have six months to appeal an initial moderation action, while UK users may have additional rights. Follow the route and deadline shown in the notice where it differs. These are two separate clocks: 30 days from the compromise for hacked-account assistance, and generally 30 days from the moderation action for an appeal.
How to write the appeal
Use the account owner’s valid email address. Include the username, the approximate compromise window, the moderation notice, and the specific actions you did not authorize. Explain what you did to secure the account and offer relevant evidence such as security emails, password-change notifications, purchase receipts, and timestamps.

A concise format could be:
My account was compromised between [date/time] and [date/time]. During that period, an unauthorized person accessed the account and performed the activity described in the moderation notice. I did not authorize those actions. I have secured the account by changing the password, removing suspicious software and extensions, and enabling additional security. Please review the account activity and reconsider the moderation action. I can provide security emails, purchase records, and other ownership evidence.

This is a suggested format, not an official Roblox template. Be factual rather than accusing another person without evidence. Submit one complete appeal: Roblox says duplicate appeals for the same moderation action may not be reviewed, and an appeal does not guarantee that the consequence will be removed.
Does Roblox know it was a hacker?
Roblox may review account history, security events, device activity, and other internal information, but its public documentation does not promise that unauthorized activity will always be identified correctly. A moderation action normally concerns activity on the account, not necessarily the person physically using it at the time.

Do not rely on claims that a shared IP address automatically causes a ban, or that a particular device fingerprint or AI model definitely made the decision. Roblox’s public materials do not establish those specific mechanisms. Regaining access also does not automatically erase moderation already applied.

Roblox’s Terms allow it to suspend or terminate alternate accounts used to evade enforcement. A hacker could potentially connect a compromised account to prohibited activity or another account, but Roblox does not publicly explain every signal it uses to link accounts.
Do not create a new account to bypass the action. That could be treated as enforcement evasion. Appeal through the account identified in the notice and explain the compromise, including dates and evidence. Do not claim that an IP address alone caused the action unless Roblox confirms that specific rule.

Can a hacker steal Robux or items too?
Account recovery and moderation appeals are separate from recovering missing Robux, inventory, or virtual items. Contact Roblox about unauthorized activity, but do not assume every item or purchase can be restored. Roblox particularly limits support for deals and trades involving currency or items outside its official systems. (Roblox hacked-account guidance)
Use Roblox security notifications carefully
Roblox’s Delayed Actions feature can give the legitimate owner time to reject certain sensitive actions after an unauthorized login. If you receive a security notification for an action you did not initiate, follow the notification’s instructions and select “No, it’s not me.” (Roblox Delayed Actions)
