Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteUsually, no. Robux generally cannot be redeemed for cash. Roblox’s limited exception is its Developer Exchange (DevEx) program, which lets eligible creators request payouts for qualifying Earned Robux. Purchased, gifted, or otherwise ineligible Robux do not become cashable simply because they are in your account.
Which Robux can be turned into money?
Only qualifying Earned Robux may be considered for a DevEx payout. Roblox describes these as proceeds from compliant creator-made content or other user-generated content, along with certain designated promotional awards. Eligible sources can include sales of Marketplace items or experiences, Creator Rewards, in-experience purchases, Publisher program ad revenue, and affiliate sales fees. Roblox decides whether earnings qualify under its Terms of Use and program rules.
Robux from direct purchases or gift cards, monthly Premium grants, transfers received, and trading or reselling virtual items are excluded. Some earnings from noncompliant or invalid activity are also ineligible. A large balance does not change the source of the Robux or guarantee that it can be withdrawn. See Roblox’s Earned Robux balance explanation for its definitions and examples.
What are the DevEx eligibility requirements?
Roblox’s listed minimum requirements include all of the following:

The applicable amount depends on when and how the Robux were earned. Roblox’s published rates distinguish standard earnings by date and list a separate rate for a narrowly defined U.S. adult-player category.

These figures are rates Roblox publishes for eligible DevEx earnings, not a cash value for ordinary Robux. Roblox may change rates, and eligibility depends on its rules and review. Check the official DevEx rate information for the current schedule and conditions.
How do you request a DevEx payout?
- Open Roblox Creator Hub and check the estimated Earned Robux balance and DevEx instructions.
- If you meet the listed requirements, submit a Cash Out request through the Creator Hub/account interface using your legal name.
- Wait for Roblox to review the account and the sources of the earnings. The displayed balance is an estimate, not a payout guarantee.
- If you are a first-time approved participant, follow the invitation to register in the DevEx portal and provide the required tax and payment information.
Roblox’s DevEx overview and balance guidance covers the request and review process. A public eligibility checklist cannot predict whether a particular account or earning source will pass that review.

Can you sell Robux to another person or use a cash-out service?
Do not treat a person-to-person sale or third-party exchange as an alternative DevEx route. Roblox identifies attempts to exchange Robux for real currency outside DevEx among conduct that can disqualify a user. Such offers are also a risk to your account and money. The Roblox Terms of Use state: “Robux are not a substitute for real currency, do not earn interest, and have no equivalent value in real currency.” The terms describe DevEx as the exception for creators whose Earned Robux and accounts meet the program’s criteria.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why might a DevEx request be rejected?
Roblox does not publicly guarantee approval based solely on the minimum balance or other listed requirements. A request may fail if the Robux do not qualify as Earned Robux, required account or tax details are missing, or Roblox determines that the account or earnings do not meet its terms and program rules. The account-specific reason must come from Roblox’s review; the public rules cannot establish the outcome for an individual request.
