Yes. Sign in to the EA Account connected to your PlayStation account, open Connected Accounts in EA Account settings, and choose Unlink beside PlayStation if that option is available. Before confirming, check EA’s warning: unlinking does not move progress or purchases to another EA Account, and some account states prevent unlinking.
How to unlink your PlayStation account from EA
- Sign in to the EA Account you believe is linked to your PlayStation account.
- Open EA Account settings and select Connected Accounts.
- Find the PlayStation connection and select Unlink, if the control is available.
- Read the warning, then follow the official account flow and complete any identity verification EA requests.
EA’s current instructions are at Unlink from an EA Account. EA advises: “Always link to an account you’ll keep long-term to preserve your progress and purchases.”
What happens to progress and purchases?
Unlinking is not a way to transfer content. EA warns that linking the PlayStation account to a different EA Account will not transfer progress. You could lose access to game progress, DLC and expansions, memberships or subscriptions, past drops and other rewards, and in-game purchases. Some entitlements may remain on the EA Account to which the platform account was first linked. Read EA’s account unlinking warning before proceeding.
Game-specific effects
- If the PlayStation account is still active in EA SPORTS FC Web or Companion Apps, unlinking it can remove access to those apps.
- In Apex Legends, EA warns unlinking can cause problems with Battle Pass leveling, item unlocks, and other errors. See EA’s unlinking guidance for details.
Can you link the PlayStation account to a different EA Account?
Possibly, but eligibility and account limits apply. EA says you can switch linked accounts up to three times in a rolling year. The Unlink control may be unavailable if your EA Account is not eligible to relink. Disabled, banned, or suspended EA Accounts cannot unlink a platform account, and you must be able to sign in to the EA Account. Check EA’s current unlink instructions for the conditions that apply to your account.

If Unlink is unavailable or you cannot access an account
- You cannot sign in to the EA Account: Use EA’s account recovery and security steps before trying to change its connections.
- The EA Account is disabled, banned, or suspended: EA says these accounts cannot unlink a platform connection. Follow the relevant EA account support route.
- You suspect the PlayStation account was compromised: EA directs users to PlayStation Support.
- You can access both accounts but the option is missing or an error appears: Check the account’s status and eligibility, then contact EA Help.
When relinking to the original EA Account may help
If you unlink and then reconnect the PlayStation account to its original EA Account, EA says access may be restored if you can still access that original account. This is recovery of the original connection, not a transfer: EA says it cannot move progress from one EA Account to another. See EA’s guidance on unlinking and relinking.
