No. A Pokémon moved from an earlier main-series game into Pokémon Legends: Z-A cannot then be transferred back to previous main-series games. Pokémon caught in Z-A also cannot be brought into those older titles. Pokémon HOME still supports transfers to and from Z-A where compatible, but it does not undo this restriction.
What happens to Pokémon moved into Z-A?
Once you bring a Pokémon from a previous main-series title into Pokémon Legends: Z-A through Pokémon HOME, you can no longer move that Pokémon into previous main-series games. The Pokémon Company states this rule in its Z-A HOME connectivity announcement, and Nintendo confirms it in its Pokémon HOME FAQ.

The same older-game restriction applies to Pokémon you befriend in Z-A: they cannot be brought into previous main-series titles. This is a restriction on going back to older games, not a claim that a Pokémon is unusable in HOME or permanently stuck in Z-A.
What HOME transfers remain possible?
Nintendo describes Z-A as compatible with the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME for depositing and withdrawing Pokémon. A Pokémon can move only to games that support it, and additional restrictions may apply. Before transferring a favorite or hard-to-replace Pokémon, check its HOME destination details and decide whether you still need it in an older game.

For Switch transfers, Nintendo says a Nintendo Switch Online membership and a paid HOME Premium Plan are not required. A Nintendo Account is required for the console version of HOME. The official HOME transfer guide explains how to link Z-A through the Switch version.
Can a Z-A Pokémon go to Pokémon Champions?
Some can. The Pokémon Company’s announcement describes certain Pokémon moving through HOME to Pokémon Champions, including a promotion for Z-A-obtained Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, and Eternal Flower Floette. This is a separate destination from previous main-series games; eligibility depends on the individual Pokémon and the destination’s compatibility rules.

- Your journey will take you to all manner of sights in the streets arrayed around Prism Tower, including shops, restaurants, and places called wild zones—where Pokémon roam free.
- As you catch, train, and battle Pokémon, there will be plenty of people to meet too—like AZ, the enigmatic owner of Hotel Z.
What about future Pokémon games?
The cited official statements establish the restriction for previous main-series games; they do not say whether a Pokémon transferred through Z-A will be accepted by any future main-series title. Do not assume either that future compatibility is guaranteed or that it is ruled out.
