Yes. If Steam bills your Fallout 1st membership, cancel it in the Steam account that holds the subscription: open Account Details → Manage Subscriptions, choose Edit beside Fallout 1st, select Cancel my subscription, then click Apply. Check that Steam marks it Cancelled under Next Billing Date. Bethesda’s cancellation instructions advise confirming that the membership is active in-game before canceling, because canceling before the purchase has been processed may cancel the purchase.
How to cancel Fallout 1st through Steam
- Sign in to the Steam account that was used to purchase Fallout 1st.
- Open Account Details → Manage Subscriptions.
- Click Edit beside Fallout 1st.
- Select Cancel my subscription, then click Apply.
- Return to Manage Subscriptions and confirm the entry says Cancelled under Next Billing Date.
Bethesda says it cannot access a player’s Steam wallet or transaction history, so a Steam-billed membership must be managed through Steam. If you bought Fallout 1st through another platform or billing provider, this Steam procedure does not apply.

When cancellation takes effect
Cancellation stops renewal but does not immediately remove membership access. Fallout 1st benefits continue through the current membership term and end when that term expires. Bethesda’s membership expiration guidance describes what remains available afterward.
What happens to benefits and items
Membership features
While the paid term remains active, membership-gated features include starting your own Private Adventure or Custom World and using the Survival Tent. Those features end when the membership expires.

Steam-purchased Atoms
Bethesda says Atoms purchased through Steam can be used when playing Fallout 76 through the Steam Launcher. It also advises members who cancel to log in before their paid duration ends to receive grants due during that period.

First check Account Details → Manage Subscriptions and look at the subscription status and next billing date. Bethesda has acknowledged resolving an issue in which some Fallout 1st memberships did not end after cancellation on Steam, but its support article does not give account-specific troubleshooting steps. If billing continues after the current term, contact the relevant support channel and provide your Steam subscription status and transaction details; the available guidance does not establish the cause for an individual account. Bethesda’s notice about the Steam cancellation issue covers the resolved issue.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
