Did the New Zealand trick work for RoadCraft?
It is not verified for RoadCraft. The Xbox New Zealand store lists May 19, 2025, but neither that listing nor the other official sources reviewed explains how to change a console’s region or confirms that changing it let players launch the game early. A regional store date by itself is not proof that the workaround worked.

The question is now historical: the game launched in May 2025. Changing a region today will not move its launch earlier.
What were RoadCraft’s launch times?
Focus Entertainment announced console availability at 12:01 a.m. local time on May 20, 2025, and a separate fixed schedule for PC: 8 a.m. PT, 11 a.m. ET and 5 p.m. CEST that day. These were different release schedules, not one global launch time. Focus Entertainment’s launch announcement gives the schedule.

The PlayStation New Zealand store lists May 19, 2025, while the Xbox New Zealand store also lists May 19. Those regional store dates differ in presentation from the publisher’s May 20 console announcement; they do not establish that changing a setting bypassed the release timing.
Was there official early access or a beta?

How can you play RoadCraft now?
Check the store for your platform and region. Steam currently lists a downloadable demo and digital editions; the PlayStation New Zealand listing shows a trial and downloadable add-ons. Availability and store options can vary by region and platform.
Steam lists single-player and online co-op. PlayStation says online play is optional and supports up to four online players with PlayStation Plus. Confirm the current platform requirements on the relevant store page before starting.
