How to try Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 with PS Plus
- On a PS5, open the PlayStation Store and find Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
- Choose the game’s trial option if it appears, then follow the on-screen prompts. PlayStation lists a two-hour trial for Premium subscribers on its US listing and UK listing.
- If you do not see the trial, check that your account has Premium and that you are viewing the store for your region. You can also purchase the game from its listing.
The trial is a limited-time way to play, not a permanent inclusion of the full game in every PS Plus tier.

What the trial offers—and what it does not
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based role-playing game with real-time mechanics during battles. PlayStation’s US listing describes its combat as combining turn-based play with real-time actions; the game’s fantasy setting is inspired by Belle Époque France. T3’s December 2025 article identifies the setting as Lumière and the developer as Sandfall Interactive.
A two-hour trial gives you a brief opportunity to experience the game before deciding whether to buy it. The listing does not establish that the full game becomes yours through the trial, nor does the cited information specify what happens to trial progress if you later purchase it.

PS5 availability and the old Christmas discount
PlayStation lists a PS5 edition and marks it PS5 Pro Enhanced. Its US listing says the game is unavailable for PS4. The UK offer mentioned in T3’s 24 December 2025 story was £35.99, reduced from £44.99, with 20% off through 7 January 2026. That promotion has ended; prices and offers vary by region and date. Check your own PlayStation Store listing before buying.

T3’s Christmas article described Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as the winner of The Game Awards’ Game of the Year and reported that it won eight awards at the 2025 ceremony. Those award claims are T3’s reporting; the official PlayStation listings cited above establish the trial and platform details, not the awards.
