What controller support is confirmed?
EA’s Battlefield 6 FAQ states: “Yes. Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 controller support will be available on PC as well as various third-party controllers.” Steam’s Battlefield 6 store listing also names DualSense controllers and marks the game as having Full Controller Support.
Steam’s listing separately notes that DualShock controllers are supported over USB only. That qualification applies to DualShock; it should not be read as a USB-only restriction for DualSense.
How to set up and customize a controller on Steam
- Connect the PS5 DualSense controller to your PC.
- Launch Battlefield 6 and open Settings > Controller.
- Select the control category you want to adjust and choose Edit Preset.
- Choose a preset or remap controls to suit your preferences.
EA’s controller-settings guide lists Default, Alternate, and Lefty presets. It also provides separate categories for Soldier/infantry, Vehicles, Aircraft, Gunner, Transport, and Helicopters. If you change how a control works and want consistent behavior across play styles, EA recommends applying the corresponding changes to the other controller categories.

Can you remap the controls?
Yes. EA’s accessibility information says controller actions can be remapped for infantry, vehicle, and UI actions. The separate controller categories let you tailor bindings to different gameplay contexts rather than relying on a single layout for everything.
Are DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers supported on PC?
The available Battlefield 6 support information confirms that a PS5 controller works on PC, but does not establish whether the PC version supports DualSense-specific features such as adaptive triggers or haptic feedback. PlayStation’s general DualSense PC guidance says feature availability varies by game; it does not confirm those features for Battlefield 6.

What if you bought Battlefield 6 outside Steam?
EA confirms PlayStation 5 controller support on PC, but the cited official information does not compare setup behavior across PC launchers. The Settings > Controller steps above are EA’s documented guidance for the Steam version, so do not assume every launcher uses an identical setup path.
