Not directly. Vultr Object Storage can store and serve video files, but it is not a YouTube Live ingest endpoint, and YouTube’s documented upload process does not import a video from a Vultr object URL. For a prerecorded video, retrieve the file from Vultr and upload it through YouTube Studio or an authorized API integration. For a live broadcast, use an encoder to send a real-time stream to YouTube with its server URL and stream key.
What Vultr Object Storage can—and cannot—do
Vultr describes Object Storage as S3-compatible storage for unstructured data, including media. Its supported operations include uploading and retrieving objects, multipart uploads, and presigned URLs. That makes it useful for keeping source recordings or making files available to an application. It does not make the bucket a YouTube publishing connector or live-stream ingest service. Vultr’s Object Storage documentation and its S3 compatibility matrix describe storage functions, not a YouTube import feature.
A file URL and a live ingest endpoint serve different purposes. An object URL or a CDN URL lets a client fetch a stored file; YouTube Live’s server URL and stream key are configured in an encoder that sends a stream to YouTube. The reviewed official documentation does not describe YouTube fetching a video directly from a Vultr URL.
Choose the right workflow
Publish a prerecorded video
If the video is already recorded, transfer its media bytes from Vultr to YouTube. You can download it and upload through YouTube Studio, or build an authorized integration that retrieves the object and sends the file using the YouTube Data API’s videos.insert method. Google’s upload guide demonstrates resumable upload of a local media file. This is a two-service workflow: Vultr supplies the stored file, and YouTube receives the upload.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Retrieve the object from your Vultr bucket using your S3-compatible client or application.
- Upload the resulting file in YouTube Studio, or pass the media file to an authorized API client using
videos.insert. - Confirm the resulting video’s visibility and publishing settings in YouTube; do not assume that storing a file in Vultr publishes it.
The current API reference documents a maximum media-file size of 256 GB and 100 calls per day for videos.insert. Those are API limits, not a promise that a particular project has quota available for a planned workload. Uploads from unverified API projects created after July 28, 2020 are restricted to private viewing until the project passes an audit, so check current API access and quota before building an automated publishing pipeline.
Prepare the video for YouTube
YouTube’s recommended upload encoding settings include an MP4 container, H.264 video, and AAC-LC or Opus audio. The same guidance gives bitrate recommendations by resolution and frame rate. These are YouTube encoding recommendations; Vultr Object Storage does not transcode the file or make an unsuitable source video upload-ready.

Send a live broadcast
For YouTube Live, configure an encoder with the YouTube server URL and stream key, then send the live output from the encoder. YouTube recommends RTMPS; it also documents HLS ingestion for supported workflows, including HDR configurations. See YouTube’s live-stream setup instructions and encoder settings. Vultr can separately store source recordings or archives, but an object sitting in a bucket is not itself a live signal.
YouTube’s H.264 live-ingest recommendations list 10 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 17 Mbps for 1080p at 60 fps. These figures describe the recommended encoder output bitrate for those settings; they are not claims about Vultr storage bandwidth. YouTube advises testing the stream and matching the bitrate to available upload bandwidth.

Keep storage, delivery, and publishing distinct
| Use | What sends or serves the data | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Vultr Object Storage | S3-compatible object operations retrieve or upload stored files. | Store source recordings or make files available to an application. |
| YouTube prerecorded upload | YouTube Studio or an authorized API upload transfers media to YouTube. | Publish a finished video as a YouTube video. |
| YouTube Live | An encoder sends a real-time stream to YouTube’s ingest service using its server URL and stream key. | Broadcast a live stream. |
| CDN in front of a Vultr bucket | A CDN caches and serves content from the bucket. | Deliver public files to viewers or applications; it does not replace YouTube publishing. |
Vultr’s security guidance recommends keeping buckets private by default and using server-generated, time-limited presigned URLs for private distribution. For public content, Vultr describes putting a CDN Pull Zone in front of a bucket to cache content and reduce origin egress. Choose access controls according to who should retrieve the source file; neither a public object URL nor a CDN URL is a substitute for YouTube’s ingest URL and stream key. See Vultr’s Object Storage security guidance.

If your aim is not to upload a finished YouTube video or operate a live encoder, but to keep prerecorded videos playing as a 24/7 YouTube live stream, that is a separate workflow. StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos to YouTube: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream, accepts uploads up to 4K 60fps without re-encoding, and charges one flat price per slot regardless of quality. Its first day is free with no card; UPI works for payments in India, and cards are accepted worldwide. One slot includes 10 GB storage, pooled across active slots, along with looping, playlists, and team support. Monthly access is $9.99 per month.
