Twelve are photo clues stored in the Sheikah Slate album; the thirteenth appears only after you recover all twelve and report back to Impa. Unlock the quest first, then match each photograph to its landmark and examine the glowing spot on the ground.
Unlock Captured Memories before searching
Complete Locked Mementos: have Purah repair the Camera Rune and restore the Sheikah Slate album, then speak with Impa in Kakariko Village. The memory triggers do not activate until this conversation unlocks Captured Memories.
Open the album to study Zelda’s photographs. They are visual clues rather than ordinary map markers. At the correct location, look for a glowing point on the ground and interact with it.
You may return to Impa after finding any one memory to receive the Champion’s Tunic. After all twelve album memories are complete, speak with Impa again to reveal the final location.

The 12 album-photo memory locations
The locations below follow the album order. The named area is often larger than the exact trigger point, so use the photograph’s landmarks to make the final adjustment.
| # | Album location | How to identify the spot | Useful approach | Main hazards or preparation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sacred Ground Ruins | Search the semicircular ruins south of Hyrule Castle in Hyrule Field. | Start from Central Tower; Katah Chuki Shrine is closer if activated. | Guardians patrol the open field. |
| 2 | Lake Kolomo | Look along the lake’s bank. | Great Plateau Tower gives a practical glide route toward the lake and Hyrule Castle. | Plan your landing and approach around the surrounding terrain. |
| 3 | Ancient Columns | The marker is beside Tena Ko’sah Shrine at the Ancient Columns. | Travel from Tabantha Tower. | Use the visible columns and shrine to match the photo precisely. |
| 4 | Kara Kara Bazaar | Search beside the pond in the bazaar’s center, on the road to Gerudo Town. | Gerudo Desert Wasteland Tower or Kay Noh Shrine (if activated) helps with access. | Desert conditions can make travel slower; prepare accordingly. |
| 5 | Eldin Canyon | Climb into the mountains between Eldin Tower and Woodland Tower. | Use either tower as your regional starting point. | Heat protection, stamina upgrades or restorative food, and climbing supplies are valuable. |
| 6 | Irch Plain | Find the small U-shaped body of water on Irch Plain, northwest of Ridgeland Tower toward Korok Forest. | Ridgeland Tower is the clearest orientation point. | Use the water shape and surrounding plain to distinguish the exact location. |
| 7 | West Necluda | From Scout’s Hill on the west bank of the Hylia River, look toward the tree on a hill with a rock at its base. | Approach Scout’s Hill and compare the tree-and-rock silhouette with the album image. | The correct landmark can be difficult to identify from far away. |
| 8 | Hyrule Castle | Reach the walkway outside Princess Zelda’s Study; the marker is above the study. | Enter from the west side of the moat, climb toward the tower, and approach the study from above. | This is the most dangerous detour: Guardians and a long climb make stealth, stamina, and an exit plan important. |
| 9 | Spring of Power | Search at the Spring of Power in Akkala. | Akkala Ancient Tech Lab or Katosa Aug Shrine can provide fast travel. | Follow the spring’s distinctive monumental setting rather than searching the whole region. |
| 10 | Sanidin Park Ruins | Look near the horse statue at the ruins. | From Central Tower, travel toward Mount Daphnes and cross the Regencia River to the hill. | Use the statue as the final visual confirmation. |
| 11 | Lanayru Road – East Gate | Follow the road east from Kakariko Village through Lanayru Road West Gate toward Lanayru Heights and the East Gate. | Ta’loh Naeg Shrine is a useful starting point. | It is a longer road journey with enemies along the route. |
| 12 | Hyrule Field | Search beside the road near the Hylia River, between the Central Tower and Dueling Peaks Tower areas. | Kaya Wan Shrine by Wetland Stable is convenient if activated. | Use the river and road alignment to narrow the broad Hyrule Field area. |
How to confirm a location
- Open the Sheikah Slate album and compare fixed landmarks such as towers, ruins, roads, water, statues, trees or shrine architecture.
- Travel to the matching named region using the nearest activated tower or shrine.
- Recreate the viewpoint shown in the photograph instead of searching randomly across the entire region.
- Walk around the landmark until the glowing ground marker appears.
- Interact with the marker to trigger the memory, then verify that the corresponding photograph is complete in the album.
The Hyrule Castle memory: a safer plan
Approach Hyrule Castle from the west side of the moat, climb toward the tower, and enter Princess Zelda’s Study from above. The memory marker is on the exterior walkway outside the study. Bring enough stamina for the climb, watch for Guardian sight lines, and leave immediately after triggering the memory if you are avoiding combat.
The final memory at Blatchery Plain
After all twelve album photographs have been recovered, return to Impa in Kakariko Village. The painting in her house points to Blatchery Plain. Travel there and find the thirteenth marker to unlock “Zelda’s Awakening.”
This is not an additional photograph in the original album. Completing it adds a scene after the game’s credits.

Why can’t I trigger a marker?
Check that Locked Mementos is complete, Purah has restored the Camera Rune and album, and you have reported to Impa. The locations will not produce their memory triggers beforehand.
Is there a thirteenth photo in the album?
No. The first twelve are the album-photo memories. Impa reveals the Blatchery Plain memory only after those twelve are complete.
Do variant spellings matter?
Some guides spell Lanayru as “Lanaryu.” The in-game album name and the landscape landmarks are more reliable than a guide’s spelling; use the road, gate and surrounding terrain to verify the spot.
